Gates HD Belt vs Non-HD
My belt on my 01 SC'd corvette running a 3.6" pulley, is almost 2 years old and I'm planning on picking up a new belt soon to replace the current belt. The belt the original owner was running was part number, K060905, but I also saw there is an HD version of the belt offered by gates, ie part number K060905HD. Any reason I can't run the HD version? Is it significantly more durable, the belt HD version of the belt will only run me an extra 3$ so if it will fit, I'll run it. Thanks.

Exactly
I just replaced my tensioner and had a green belt but couldn't get myself to install it. Green belt in a black and polished engine bay on a yellow car didn't seem right. The standard belt worked fine before the tensioner pulley went.

Ideally if gates offered a blue racing belt in sizes that fit A&A SC we would be best of running them as they are most heat resist and least susceptible to stretching. Has anyone contacted gates regarding a blue belt for the various pulley sizes of the A&A SC.
Edit: Just looked it up and there is a K060905RB belt that gates offers, presumably it would fit our applications. Anyone run this belt, it is quadruple the price but if it holds up drastically longer and offers more of a set and forget approach toward the SC belt it would be worth it in my book.

Ended up going with the HD belt, couldn't justify paying 4 to 5X the price for the belt, at least not at this time. Hoping to have a quiet experience with the HD belt, should be fun changing that belt.

It was a PITA to swap out the belt, took me 2 hours to do. Though a lot of it was because I have had no interaction with the supercharger since I purchased the car. I unbolted the, the bolts holding on the supercharger and pushed it toward the driver side to get the clearance I needed to slip the old belt out and the new belt on. Have just about got everything back together except putting the boomerang bracket back on and tightening and inlet hose clamp. I'll finish tomorrow and could probably get the job done in 30-45 minutes next time around.
I disconnected the inlet for a needless reason from the SC and thankfully had my old auto picks from HF to slip the hose back on the inlet like I used on my turbos back in the day. No way I could have gotten the inlet on without it.
