Default Taking it all apart :(

The joys of divorce....
On the bright side..I'm proud of the turbo kit I engineered. Took me less than 2 hours to have the whole turbo setup removed. Tomorrow I will go back out and get it buttoned back up and running NA. Turbo setup will be for sale shortly.

Sorry to hear - it was an impressive system.

Best of luck moving forward.

That sucks for the life change and resultant outcomes. Hopefully you'll be back at it in no time.

I'm always parked out front of Spring Hill Lanes. I'm the head mechanic there

This dyno sheet is at 14ish PSI dropping off to 12. I ended up driving it around at 16psi.

Man, sorry to hear. I thought it was always the woman or the car. I hate to hear it's both in your case. I guess that's why they sometimes say "It's cheaper to keep 'er."
Do stop by and say hi from time to time,

Which turbo kit was it? Just curious. I'm at work so no pictures for me if they are there. On the big D! Well it can either be a blessing or a burden. Nothing ever good comes out of them while its pending for sure. GL! Hope it works out for the best in the long run!

This hurts me.. after all that work you put into that turbo build anyway you could get her to let you keep it somehow? try to work things out even if you have to swallow your pride and try to work it out. good luck brother

Actually I did. I let her keep everything else. I kept the mostly paid off car. However, in order to start my life over right....I'm demodding and trading in the car to free up the cash to put down on a house...again. I could keep the car...but it would mean paying rent for an extra year or two while having to find a second job. Just not worth it. The sooner I buy a house again the sooner I have free money for toys again

The bitch of it is I'm leaving the forged engine in. I just don't have it in me to do an engine swap again. Especially at this small rental property with a tiny garage.

I'd see if you can find a local willing to help with the swap if they had a good running stocker. Not sure if this would take too long, but it's worth a shot.

OP, although I feel for ya having so much personal stress going on, I applaud you for making the hard decision on the car. As you said, the sooner you get back into a house that fits your needs the sooner you will be able to get back to the toys. Loved the work you did on your C5 and that turbo setup came out really nice!

Good luck and stick around. Ya never know with the prices of C5's these days ya might be back in the fold sooner than later!

I have a jig made for my manifold Easy to replicate now without having to do all that measuring again

My next performance car once everything is settled will be one of three options.
Another C5, a C6Z, or an R32 GTR(they become legal to import this year ). Whatever it is..it WILL be built and boosted

thanks again for all the support guys

Damn, I loved your build. The only single turbo Vette I like. Sorry to hear about your misfortune, looking forward to seeing you make a comeback in due time.
