Default Supercharging an 01 Z06

Just did some work over the winter. Added a texas speed 228r cam, pushrods, trunion upgrade, timing chain, oil pump, beehive valve springs, LG long tubes and Cat'less xpipe. Left the Tis on the car. Has a blackwing and intake pipe. I installed a catch can last fall as well.

With that said, I dont notice any oil consumption for say. There was almost nothing to speak of in the intake manifold when I had it off pulling the AIR system.

I've heard of the early LS6 cars and ring issues. I want to add a AA supercharger setup, probably a Ti, and blacked out kit. Run it on 91, no meth, maybe 8psi?

Question is: how safe is this engine to boost? Will I cause it to begin consuming oil?

Also, on a street car, no dig racing, how long will a 40 k mile clutch last on NT05s?

Thanks for any input!

You should be find. Keep the boost reasonable and have someone tune the car who knows what they're doing and cares. You may want to consider a new clutch.

I thought my clutch was in pretty good shape, after my kit was installed, the clutch died on the Dyno, so it might be wise to be prepared to put a clutch in, or at least have some room in your budget should the need arise.

Ill probably stick to 8-10psi. Im friends w a procharger employee that tubes on the side. He used to tune for House of Boost if anyone's heard of that. Im sure that side of it should be fine. He tuned my e85 S2000 to 602whp. The Z06 is my reliable car lol. E85 is hard to get here so wanted to build in for 91. Kinda sad when your 4 banger is the fast car in the garage...
time to settle that difference

It will do more than that on stock internals....600 is no problem (you will need head studs), especially on E85

edit: here is 800 on stock motor

Gotta LOL at that powerband though

Dont even need headstuds really. Have a buddy doing 750wheel on a turbo set up. Chassis is only good for about 500wheel to stay reliable. I broke second gear in mine last fall. It is pretty crazy those motors will take 3X the power they were designed for and hold it. There isn't much away to upgrade the factory cams/header on that car as it flows so well. Maybe another 10hp stock or 30 in my case.
The Z06 feels quick but def doesn't offer the same performance. Car weighs 2700ish. Literally like a go kart. Mine will pull a car or so on a stock C6z pretty easy.
Lets just say boost is in my blood. Going to have to happen to wake this C5Z up a bit :-)
