I think you're missing the flanges... I really don't like ball and socket joints, slip fit with band clamps seem to work really well...

Did you get them from a vendor or from Kooks? I'm willing to bet they were drop shipped directly from Kooks. I'm sure you will be taken care of either way, mistakes happen

Straight from forum vendor..must say...vendor was lightning fast to respond to my concerns....told me the new style kooks go on with and accuseal clamps and not flanges anymore.....what threw me off is the bolt kit that came with the headers included the 4 bolts for the flanges and when did ball and socket joints seal with clamps?? Oh well.....they are sending me a set of clamps.....I must say ...great customer service
Thx guys

Received and installed my 2" kooks from Maryland speed about a month ago. Apparently the new style does not use the flanges. I had to cut off the flange on the crossover pipe that I purchased from a CF member. No big deal. Ball and socket lined up great and used a cupped type clamp to keep pipes together. In the package were new bolts, clamps and gaskets to use. So a great package all around. Install was pretty easy just like the video and slipped right in with no other part removal other then normal stuff. ( coil packs , plugs, etc.)with plenty of clearance. Overall Very Happy with fit and finish.

You have a flange for ball and socket on the x and a accuseal on the header. You need a correct X. How is that supposed to work?

Kooks said the x pipe design didn't change, they told me to cut the flange off the x pipe and it clamps together. This was the only pic I had laying around with the new clamps in it

The header to x pipe clamps are rounded to fit over the the curves.
