So I looked up prices for kits and geez they seem like about half as much as the SC kit so why do I not see more of them??? Well thanks to you guys cause I think I understand the deal a little more now as your cars even the basic systems definitely look way more involved than the average bolt on SC. So if I am correct the turbo system might start off cheaper but spend more time and money installing. Trade offs good and bad for either way just depends on who ya are and what your looking to get out of your engine I suppose.
You can get ECS base SC kits for somewhere in the $5K range
They are also much simpler to install. The extra piping, etc. on the turbo kits is pretty tough to find room for on these cars

Was going to cut frame brace and run DP as you did but I figured it would be different and also figured it would help with some underhood heat! This car will get a powerglide and more "drag" oriented parts in the future anyway so thats more or less the direction its going.

C5 has 60,000 miles on original perfect running motor. I Would like to conservatively get some more power out of it bring it to 500hp or little more have that cool blower whine / turbo spooling sound but really don't want to get into building a motor or selling my house to make my car .5 sec faster. I envy those of y'all that are so passionate about your quest for power the knowledge that you have and the sacrifices you make but y'all in a whole different league compared to me
BTW awesome pics turbo guys...seriously jelly over here. I do not have the heart to start over so I will stay supercharged.

I never took any bay pics with the new manifolds, but i'll throw these up.
Idle and throttle bump after installed (still clean up work to do, but pleasing to the ears)

Awesome thread, Ive always loved Turbos, BUT I knew it was out of my reach with what I had in mind, Whats crazy is all the different approches to to make it happen, there are some set ups in here that look amazing. Nice work everyone.
To me Turbos always took it to another level, Granted Blowers are less complicated but not anywhere near as Sexy.
Way to go everyone very nice

Personally, I would absolutely LOVE to run turbo, or even twins on my Z, but for ease of install, I will most likely go SC. Of course, that's when I finally decide to take the plunge off the cliff that they call FI.
