Got a bit done today. Had a forum member come by in between to bleed his '04 C5 ABS and brake system using my Tech 2. Tomorrow, the rear sub-frame/suspension and the TT/tranny/diff units come out so I can get the new fuel system started along with the new clutch and CF drive shaft.
Got the build sheet out of the front frame crossmember.

Its you and another member in Toronto same highly skilled organized when it comes to working on vettes.....everytime i work on mine....in just few hours things start to get disorganized.....dang where 15 mil socket go? .......look for few mins and than go grab to buy another one..lol. Make a big difference when working in single garage though....no room.
A few things i would suggest to ex- change or buy:
>Newest alternator bracket if you dont have one
>C6 PS metal pulley it has holes to access PS bolts, this is made in canada...Eh....lol
>T-trim head unit instead of V3Si, i think 150 or 300 more
> A&A silicone hose/couplers are super tight, put them in hot water or use heat gun
Cant think of other stuff.....but you have skills and smart figure out most stuff anyway.
Edit: where you buy that green table? i want one
GL.....lots of work ahead.

Hey Sami,
Thanks for the suggestions.
1) Got the new version of the alternator bracket from GM Parts House. I'll be running a flip drive but I figured belts and suspenders here to minimize stress on accessories.
2) Got the C6 pulley with the cutouts to replace the C5 pulley and make access to those bolts easier.
3) Seriously considered the T-trim but I'm already running 11:1 with a 4" pulley and an Alky kit to keep it from blowing up. Andy at A&A recommended to stay with the S-trim unless I do a rebuild to bring comp down and both he and Josh suggested I try this setup for a while first. I think 550 rwhp or so will allow it to stay together - at least for a while. Should (when) I have to go in and rebuild, I'll reconfigure and maybe upgrade the head unit.
4) Thanks for the tip in getting hoses on - never heard that one mentioned here.
As I've mentioned in the past about neatness when I do projects - my OCD personality doesn't allow me to do otherwise. It takes me longer to do projects because of this but it also prevents me from losing stuff along the way. I bag and tag every bit of hardware as it comes off the car so the assembly is not a constant search for parts that were previously removed.
Plus, these projects are strictly a source of fun and distraction for me so taking my time is half the fun as opposed to driving hard all week to complete projects at work. That I can be laid back about the whole process is what makes it enjoyable. The fact that I happen to end up with an enhancement to the Vette is just icing on the cake.

Ed,
I applaud your meticulousness -it's awesome !! I could only wish every wrench working on our cars (for those of us less mechanically inclined) were this conscientious and thorough - although I suspect then we'd balk at the amount of time (and concomitant labor cost) that resulted
Hope everything goes well with your project !

Got some more done today. Unfortunately, have a wedding to go to next weekend so won't get much done then - life has a way of doing that.
Pretty much ready to drop the tt/tranny/diff next week and start rebuilding that with the cf drive shaft and solid/poly couplers and get started on the fuel system. I'm waiting on tt bearings and new flywheel bolts though so that may delay me as well.

Chipped away a little more today.
Got the rest of the LS7 exhaust out. Not as bad as I thought it'd be.
Bought some insulation for the Elite plate.
And, of course, the tt/tranny/diff assembly.
Last thing to uninstall - the clutch.
Next weekend - rebuild the tt and start the fuel system.

Rebuilt the drive shaft this weekend in between a few other activities.
Stocker
GM uses some formidable thread locker on the coupler screws. Had to break out the propane mini-torch and impact wrench to get them off and then used a wire brush drill attachment to get them clean.
Poly and solid couplers
Poly coupler installed
Solid coupler installed
Finished assembly with LG carbon fiber drive shaft
Stock couplers and bearings were still pristine - of course, they only have ~8k on them.

Had to build a shipping crate for the diff this morning so only had time to pull the stock clutch and put in the Mantic. Sold my 1-rib DTE 4.10's I bought back on '03 and have an RPM Stage 4 Quaife 3.42 3-rib with cryo-treatment on it's way in a couple of weeks.
Here's the Mantic:
Flywheel with new bolts and drive blocks
Both friction discs and intermediate plate
Pressure plate
Cover in place
