Default Best tire that hooks in ...? cold temps.

I like to take my convertible out and drop the top....and jam through the gears in the winter....in the mountains......with tunes cranking with my ski hat on 1014 RWHP

Of course traction sucks....but 3rd gear pulls can be fun....

Whats a good bang for the buck....with 30-45 degree temps outside? and traction focused?
Dry road driving....

When it snows, put drag radial chains on them.

You are kidding correct. It will be hate to get any street DOT tire to hook under 75 mph even in the hot weather at these rwhp #.

How do putting drag radials on your car in the winter make ride with someone in a CGT and crash/burn? Srrry Jeff, but good try.

then 3rd and 4th gear pulls through the canyons....they were fun....and held a bit....

I am not quite at the 1000rwhp level but I really like the 335/30/18 Hoosier drag radials. They work great on my car.

When I was at around 600 rwhp, ET streets at 40 degrees was instant tire spin. Seriously at those temps and rwhp level, nothing is going to give you any traction.

Get a VHT Control kit from Julio, it installs in front and is progressive, so will spray more VHT
on the road as boost increases.

I'm not anywhere near your power, but if lugging the motor down out of it's powerband then you're not making digits. I've done HPDE in just above freezing conditions and my stock 275/40r18 540 tread wear all season tires do better than 315/30r18 200 treadwear high performance tires and 295/40r17 30 treadwear R compounds were a joke without heat in them going sideways at triple digits. The higher the UTCG rating/harder tire compound will actually do better with colder temps as it's a better match in tire/temp compound from my experience.
