Default 2 bar map issues

I'm doing some street tuning on my car right now and I just converted the car to a 2 bar SD tune.

When I make a WOT pull, my map sensor pegs at 105 at 2600rpm and doesn't go up anymore. But it also doesn't drop. What is going on?

402 ETP 240 heads YSi 3.125" pulley.

Sounds like you have the wrong MAP sensor in there to me.

Hmm... I hope not. Btw I am loving the Mantic twin disk. Drives like my old stock 04 C5Z. I know it's there but it drives amazing!

Good to hear! What MAP are you using? Can you post a pic? And what is your scaling in the PCM?

What year model is your car? My 1998 would not auto scale for the new 2Bar MAP. I had to go into the HPTuners histograms and find those built for the 1998.

In the scanner table, make sure you don't have Manifold Absolute Pressure (SAE) PID. Once you've scanned the vehicle (assuming you've properly installed the 2 bar OS), the 2 bar MAP PID will present itself under engine\airflow\....

You may have to clear the previously scanned vehicle to get the 2 bar to kick in, for whatever reason.

Right click in the chart, expand the section your MAP is in and increase the range to 200kPa.

Make sure you have a 2-bar MAP in your table and if you don't, right click, delete the one you have and then right click>insert>airflow Manifold Pressure 2-bar

Bruce, it's common for people to not know or forget to do what Bret just posted.

I realize that.

The issue is that if that wasn't the fix and something else was, no lesson was learned for the next guy looking to solve the same problem. 'Just a courtesy thing.

sorry. Bret was right. I just had to rescale the pid or gauge and all is well. 210kpa is being seen... time for a 2.5 bar i guess.

210kpa is being seen.

On a 402, I bet that's a handful.

I'm still learning a lot so it's a little bit on the safe side but it's definitely a blast.
