C6 3" exhaust and catback on C5 [cut well out]
I have the tr-6060 and c6 z06 diff combo on my car.
I have thoughts to cut the well out, whch would make room for the mufflers, but am unsure what I need, would a c6Z x-pipe 3" bolt up to my headers ? If I used a 3" c5 x-pipe, would the distance between the pipes where they join to the catback be theright spacing apart?
Anyone done this?

Don't crucify me for bumping an old thread, as it's still relevant information, a lot of people search it, and the C5 is more affordable than ever....
I saw a thread around 2 years ago back when I had my 04, before I had the 09 Z, where a guy had went through the work of cutting the well out and installing the C6 over-axle exhaust.
I've searched off and on for 2 days now and can't seem to find it. Dude even had pics and all.
Can anyone help?

I used the c6 z06 corsa 3” xpipe and LG GT4 when i did my 6060 swap. I love the sound, comparable to titanium zo6 catback, but awesome flow. See link below for my swap

it’s doing good Joey! Still at 705/660, I had meth on it for a short time,
but removed it as I did not get the cooling effect from it, but I was at 750/700.
But it has been fairly reliable, and I value that, I don’t want any more power, happy with it as is.
Just don’t drive it as much anymore, no time !

shoot... i was *this close* to having Bret rig up a direct-port meth kit
but then i decided to put that money into better head castings, a KillerChiller & associated battery relocation for a lot bigger coolant tank, along with Ray's TVS spacer.

but we'll be writing it up as we document my setup (starting whenever he wraps up the couple cars in front of me) to hopefully get some more vette folks on board.
they ain't got much of a GM base but have been doing mostly mustangs for almost 20yrs - and now have hemi kits, ZR1 & CTS-V kits, etc. we did a universal set on mine (only difference is not having pre-measured/cut lines) and will be keeping my HX since i road race (as opposed to completely removing it for better short-term efficiency).
we're looking forward to seeing how good it actually does... which i reckon so long as it at least does 1/2 as good as the new competitor's kit floating around the C7 forums, the cost:benefit analysis is on-par or better.
