Not more then say a ttx kit but more then a ecs/a&a kit for sure. Unless you go with couplers and a budget intercooler and turbo. Then you may be able to get in there at blower kit prices. We did not cheap out cause we wanted to make this kit the best possible.

Default budget

I've messaged Daniel (The OP) on a few occasions and he's been very helpful. I'm in the midst of gathering all my parts. I'm taking a more budget oriented approach to it without skimping on quality.

I have most of what I need component wise and so far I've spent about 3 grand.... I still need an intercooler core, all exhaust pipes, install and to complete my fuel system.

Just to give anyone thinking of attempting this an idea.

so ditching the race gas map in favor of one tune, pump, meth, spray, race gas in the fuel cell. 50-100 shot when needed. otherwise pump and meth as much as we can make safely on the nitrous tune.

This is Awesome!

I just bought a C5 as a DD, it came complete with MS3 cam and supporting mods. I've also been a former DSM'er and 944 guy. I really miss a smooth Idle drive-able car that isn't coughing and stalling and causing clutch spring/drive train bucking.

A turbo is in my future, and I think rear mount is the way to go.

Please continue the updates!!!!!
Thanks!!!!

He's moved this all to a new thread, this one is pretty much toast. Search his username it should pop up.

Seems like a lot of people make similar transitions. I've also had a 85 944 and a couple 1g dsm's. Very fun cars for the money.

i think when the lifters broke some material must have made it to the bearing. got it all back together and after running it a little a knock in the bottom end was noticed. Sucks but dont want to risk messing it up worse.

Hey I'm doing the same swap L33 into an LS1 C5 and I cant get the corvette motor mounts to line up properly on the passenger side. There is a small bulge in the way on the block. Did you have this problem?

Thanks

The iron 6.0 block that went into my 99 had to be " clearanced " to fit a motor mount. I believe it was on the passengers side too. My 4 1/2 inch grinder made quick work of it...

Thanks bro. I wanted to make sure there wasnt anything critical behind there before I started grinding.
