F1-R Procharger pulley help.
I have a 2002 z06 corvette m6. Its got a lq9 370 with stock crank forged rods and diamond pistons. 102mm throttle body. comp cam duration @ .050 242/248 valve lift 622/617 lobe lift 366/363 lobe seperation 113.
the guy before me had it dynoed to a higher rpm he wasnt a 100% sure what it was. But anyways i am getting it retuned and wanting to keep it on pump gas if possible. I know most people will say do a water meth kit but its not a drag car more of a street car so im attempting to run on pump gas and will be driven lots once i finish fine tuning it.
So here is where i am i got a 5in ati pulley and a 7.5 crank pulley and im making 12 lbs of boost. i realize im no where near max impeller speed but im wanting to keep it in the 800hp range with the rev set at about 6500.
here is my question what size pulleys should i switch to so that i get as much low end boost as possible and get a flatter tq and hp curve. i am thinking a 4 in pulley which would bring my impeller speed to about 64k. what kind of boost would i be looking at then? should i switch to a 8 rib. im running a 6 rib no slippage at all with the set up now.

You should get a P1 instead. Running an F1R on pump gas is kinda silly. You will have to run a huge pulley and be way out of its efficiency range. Not to mention the R is known to be a heat monster.

Do meth and turn that thing up. You realize that the meth kit is setup to come on when you start making boost and you can set it for certain amount of boost. Its not like the meth kit is spraying all the time.

What he said plus a ton of heat from the F1R one reason I went with the F1X on my new set up. Crap man pulley that thing down just in case you need the power. I will be going to a smaller pulley this next month in the F1X set up.

Yeah used to run a 7.65" crank and then a 4.25 on blower. it was on a 427. made @17-18lbs and 1035rwhp. Meth is on a hobbs switch set to come on at 10LBS. GL!

Well sounds like a plan then I think im gonna go with the 4in pulley get my impeller speed just a little under max and put a meth kit on it. What kits would you guys recommend? im thinking the alky kit ecs sells with the dual nozzle upgrade.

The the op... get a smaller pulley and do a resistor plate.. it really is to big of a blower for what you are wanting to do.. D1sc or p1sc1 would do alot better and you could actually come out a head by trading it with cash on the other end or something to that effect..D1sc is more the capable of putting down 800 with alot more peep on the low end then that f1r would ever do the way you are setting it up.

yea i was considering a d-1 but im just gonna run a smaller pulley and alky kit with the dual nozzle and let it rip. just driving now on the street isnt bad at all i make few hr drives get 22 highway and under hood temps are good. so i think im gonna see what it makes how it runs and go from there if i dont like it then i may drop back to a d-1. should be able to get it all together in a couple weeks and ill have my results up then.

yea i understand why though with what i said about trying to keep it more of a street car, but with how its been now that i got the fuel system tweaked it just drives good going down the highway. Just with the clutch its harder in the city because it just wants to go cant really let out slowly on it.
