Default i know it's a weedeater, but...

now i'm anxious to see somebody build an LS motor with a turbo setup that'll outflow the engine by this same amount & then see what it does at the track!

I love those little rotardery engines. They're so wrong but they sound cool.

Dayum! That's a quick car.

Owning a rotary engine is definitely on my bucket list.

Mine was a second gen. 80ci motor with 114 ci roots supercharger. Turned the supercharger at 40% overdrive.

Big problem is the apex seals just can't take any detonation. Doesn't matter if they're ceramic, 2mm or 3mm. If you hear it detonate, its too late.

Must be mandatory for ricers to rev the motor to 8k in the pits.

Good stuff! Rotarys are fascinating Had an rx8 between vettes. I put a big turbo(reletively.. TO4e 60-1) on mine as well and spent a year abusing it with mad tuning experiments. I was daily driving that poor renesis at 16 psi which is just unheard of on the rx8 forums. Put it back to stock and it still drove like new when I traded it on my Z

didn't GM experiment with trying to make a 4-lobe Wankel for the Vette back in the 80s?
Mazda ended up being the only company to get the apex seals right or something & played 'i got a secret' to keep it proprietary

Mercedes did testing with rotary engines a long time and had some success with them but for some reason quit developing them and that's about the time Mazda started developing them.

Little car is down in dragster range. As hot as it is right now the fieldlocal is running bb 4.80s to sb 5.20s in the dragsters.
I"d guess that car weighs about 2000 to 2100. Motor in that thing can't weigh much. He'd be pushing about 900 to 1100 hp to get that thing down in the 5.0s in the 1/8th.

GF just sold her's this spring. 23 mpg is about all those things will do. Not the best on fuel.
