downpipes to kooks race bullets, turbo placements, modified PS compressor outlet. Last picture with the stock A/C compressor, you can see the clearance issue to compressor inlet. Many test fits later, I found the CTS-V has the same pulley spacing as the corvette's but is a smaller and tighter fitting compressor. Also, the lines come out on the side of the housing in the 10:30 position or so instead of the back. MAJOR help for clearance

like most, had to cut a hole under the cowl. Glassed it back over. Coil relocation.. Turbo piping, etc.

I beaded all of the cold side pipes 180deg apart with beads like shown to make sure they don't pop off

At a point, I got tired of using my table saw as a welding bench. So, made this one for the garage out of .25" 6061-T6. It's 5'x2'. Another excuse to use the welder and VERY useful for all the piping work. Ground clamp to table leg, and done.

If there is something else more specific you guys want to see, just let me know. Still plenty of work to get it road worthy, and tidying up now that I know stuff is working, but getting much closer.

Very nice work and good job on doing it yourself!

What size charge pipe? Material/gauge etc.?

Do you have a part number on the AC compressor?

Thanks!

Charge pipe off of the compressors are 2", 6061-T6 2mm (.079" thick). B-covers are 2", so I just stuck with that to make it a little bit easier to route where I did. The pipe from intercooler to throttle body is 4", 6061-T6 3mm (.118" thick). Most likely chinese pipes, but the quality was pretty good and they welded clean. Got them all from cxracing.com

The compressor came as a gm performance parts kit actually. I found the best price at Pace Performance. Comes with compressor, belt, belt installation tool, bracket, and fasteners. They sell the pigtail separately. **My original compressor developed a leak on the housing, and needed to be replaced anyway**
compressor kit: 19244106
Pigtail: 88953303

There is a little bit of grinding to do on the back of the compressor to make sure it clears the engine mount and bracket. It's not in a spot that matters, just an area of extra casting material. Might have a picture of the back, let me check.

Back of A/C compressor to engine mount and bracket. Also, the PS power steering rack bolt needs to be shortened. Sticks out wayy too far and nearly hits the clutch.

That has got to be the cleanest T/T set-up I have ever seen!

Location is awesome and I really like the custom exhaust manifolds, fantastic by far, plus I am liking the new CTS-V A/C compressor!

I am really looking forward to the finished product and the Dyno time and tuning finally!

Thanks,Matt

Thanks guys!

Definitely looking forward to getting on the road so I can get to tuning, and then dyno. Not looking to baby this thing.. after breaking it in, it's going to get everything the turbos will put out!

I have the idle stabilized now. TPS is at 13% for 900rpm idle, haha. Was about 8% with the old setup. Also, pulls down to 67kPa manifold pressure where I was at 54kPa before. So 13kPa less vacuum at idle now.

Going to throw the wheels on tomorrow, and take it for a spin around the block. Want to make sure I don't have a rattle anywhere... and wanting to hear the turbos a little bit too

Started with some of the clean up and cover up work today. Got the fuel hat covers trimmed to clear the bulkheads and wiring cleaned up. Put the fender wells back in, threw the wheels on, and took her for a shake down cruise through the neighborhoods. No hood, front bumper, or right fender on still so stayed away from the streets to avoid explaining to the officer I was just trying to shake down my twin turbo Corvette that doesn't meet EPA requirements..

Took lots of turns, etc. and no tapping or rubbing. I did however set off two of my neighbors car alarms when I rolled it out of the garage and fired it up haha. Time to get working on the rest of the exhaust.

While it was in the sun, I borrowed a phone from the girlfriend to get a better idle clip. The one in the first post was with my phone, and has a jacked up microphone or something.

900rpm:

I've made a few drives around now to get the fuel close, and get it under a little bit of load before covering everything back up. Car pulls HARD. Have 15* in it and 11.23AFR. Ran it just on the wastegates, and it controlled boost to 10.00psi with 9.7psi springs in the gates! Only brought it up to 6krpm, engine still need to break in. BUT looks like the wastegate placement on the logs is going to let me control boost after all, and have a good cruise setting! For the one or two times i'll need it....

Awesome job man!!

You really improved the short comings of the TTiX style kits.... Better air filter/piping assemblies, waste gate setups that actually work and don't creep...

I can't wait to see the numbers it throws down.... Gonna be BIG for sure..
