Cam Install Help!
Greetings all!
Okay it's been a while since I've put a cam in and am 99% sure I got it right. With that said, 99% when building a car like this doesn't meat $hit to me.
I want to install the cam straight up. I don't need to advance it at all. It is on a 115 LSA and is going in an AES 390 motor and will be fed by a YSI with AFR 225's. I have a rollmaster and there are two dots on the crank sprocket. I lined the first dot with the crank notch (this is the center notch on the sprocket) and then the back notch, on the tooth, lines up with the upper sprocket correct? Thanks in advance!
BTW, I might need to rotate the crank around a bit and this is a brand new shortblock. It's not a problem if I do that right? It's not going to hurt anything right? Thanks again everyone!

As long as when your al done the crank is at TDC compression stroke on the number 1 cylinder (dot on crank in the 1200 position) and the cam sprocket dot ( will be in the 6 o clock position) perfectly lined up with the crank sprocket dot, you will be ok.

OKay. If I am looking at the motor...the dot on the tooth of the lower sprocket is at exactly 1200...and the first cylinder on the RIGHT side of the motor is all the way up. That is the #1 correct?
Also, is it okay if I rotate the crank around with it being a new motor and all? Thanks again for your help!

You can spin the engine as much as you want as long as its where its supposed to be when you install the cam and gears.
Obviously once you get the cam and gears installed and timed correctly you can rotate the engine over as much as you want with no worries.

what block is that?
I don't have the answer on the red Oring, but somehow GM went nuts with different colors and sizing on pickup tube vs Orings. Your most likely aware of that already.
