Default ****new pricing on the carbon revolution one piece carbon fiber wheels****

“The CR-9 wheel delivers significant fuel savings and emissions reductions while exceeding performance expectations,” he said. “With a 40 percent to 50 percent reduction in mass comes tremendous rotating, unsprung weight savings.

“CR-9’s look great on the track, but they also enhance the driver’s experience with improved steering feel and suspension performance, all leading to quicker lap times,” Dingle said. Noise, vibration and harshness are significantly reduced, too.

The wheels are initially being produced in sizes 19x8.5 (15.4 pounds each) and19x12 (17.9 pounds) and are designed to mount directly to the Porsche 911, Lamborghini Gallardo and Audi R8.

Pricing starts at $14,950 for a set of four wheels, which are covered by a lifetime warranty for structural and materials defects and three to five years for the finish.

The mounting procedure (difficulty level) is about the same as for a good set of forged three-piece wheels, Dingle said. Wheels will come with mounting instructions and the tire equipment should be newer and preferably touchless. Most dealerships, specialty vehicle shops and high-end tire and wheels shops should be able to handle the job without any problems, he said.

The company earned three awards at the recent Specialty Equipment Market Association trade show in Las Vegas. Carbon Revolution was recognized for its innovative approach as most likely to succeed commercially abroad, with specific recognition from publications in China, Panama and Canada.

The awards program included 24 judges from 15 countries, reviewing and evaluating more than 2,500 product entries at the SEMA show.

The very first set of Carbon Revolution 1 piece carbon fiber CR-9s ship to us on July 15th. Halltech is the only distributor for the Corvette. These wheels will likely fit the C7 and Camaro Z28.

We spent a couple months working on the fitment issues presented by the huge ZR1/Carbon Z06 ceramic/carbon brakes, and finally got the drawings done and sent to CR.

Our set will be 19X8.5 fronts and 19X12 rears, since the molds presently are set up for these sizes.

Warranty: Lifetime warranty against defects.

Our ULZ (Ultralight Z06) will drop -52 lbs with just the installation of these wheels and matching tires.

32 lbs just off the front end alone.

The tires are small for the fronts, and may not appeal to the track guys, but Road Warriors that lurk for the Vipers like me, want the narrow cd enhancing benefits of the 235 fronts.

Even with Michelin Pilot Sport Cups (NRF) front and 345 rears, we are saving 52lbs vs. the Pilot Sport Cups in ZR1 sizes on OZ Ultraleggera wheels now on our car. (those may be for sale in July).

If you have a ZR1 with the stock chrome wheels, with factory Michelins, you will reduce your USW, RW, and Curb weight by -80 lbs!!!

These wheels pass the German TUV testing standards with +20% load:

Wow, only $13k for a set of wheels! Add this to the LGM $7k clutch and you're pretty close to the market value of my 'Vette.

A nice Carbon fiber VENTILATED hood..

Put me down for one too.. Lol

The carbon wheels are awesome as well... Great way to knock off rolling weight... But a weeee bit out of my price range.

I'm still glad to see aftermarket companies coming out with stuff for our outdated C5s tho....

I designed this for our twin turbo C5 11 years ago, but have no idea where the mold is. Sold it in 2003.

Here are the two fabricators taking my ideas and putting it to our hood.

The guy on the left is the turbo header fabricator that did our twin turbo headers and downpipe.

This was my redesign, when the hood became a stumbling block to our project continuing. We simply redesigned the headers to fit under the stock hood, but later got a completely new hood designed, which you see in the pictures.

We did 607 RWHP on the A&A dyno with 8.5 PSI boost. This was the first ever Over the Top Twin Turbo C5.

Are those Carbon Revolution wheels still available? Did they ever make a staggered fitment?
