Default Catch Cans in California

Wondering if anyone is running a catch can with a supercharger and has been through a California emissions inspection. Last year, I got a lot of guff about my car not being legal because of my A&A supercharger. I failed the visual (no hose connected to the throttle body) and also failed the OBDII readiness test. I'd like to install a three port catch can and hook it to the throttle body but am concerned that it would be yet another problem with the visual inspection. Also, any one have a breather on their catch can and pass inspection?

You just need to find the right smog station.

This...

Plus your tuner should be able to fix the OBDII readiness test....

I was able to get the car through with the help of my tuner and a temporary vacuum line from the valve cover to the throttle body, but would like a more permanent solution, so I thought adding a catch can would be the answer. Apparently, no one seems to know if it is legal or not in California.
Yes, finding the right smog station would be good, but how? Trial and error?

Catch cans are illegal in California. Basically if its under the hood of your car or has any sort of effect on your emission output of the engine (this is controversial amongst gear heads) and it don't have a CARB cert then it's illegal.

Hope that helps

Michael

I'll see if I can find you the right smog guys down there in temecula.
