Default N20 tanks that blow

N20 tanks overheating & blowing.
I recently put N20 in my vette and after reading some of the horror stories you guys are throwing around I don't think I want this tank in my car. Are these stories for real? How often does this occur?

Default Re: N20 tanks that blow (snake killer)

N20 bottles are protected with a rupture disk.
Rupture disk blows at 3000 PSI. If for some very very rare reason, your bottle did hit 3000 PSI. You have nothing to worry about, if you have hooked up bottle vent line.
You will see lots of N20 installs, without bottle vent line hooked up
