I figure I should start a build thread here, as I getting close to starting the teardown.

5.3L Truck motor ITS IN THE CAR
5.3L 799 Casting heads already here, back from the intake gasket match, deck and valve job
Tick Performance Custom Blower cam package Already here, less than 2 weeks from order to delivery
Procharger F1C with 4.25" pulley already here
A&A 8 rib bracket with Procharger 8 rib pulley's already here
Innovators West 10% OD balancer already here
Custom piping to Treadstone intercooler already here
Custom fuel system for E85 Done thanks to Jamie from Race Part Solutions
SD 80lb injectors flow matched from FIC already here
MIGHTYMOUSE stealth catch can already here
McLeod RST already here
LG GT2 coliovers already here
Weld RTS 17" rear to put the power down (hoping)
stock 150k mile driveline until it breaks then '08 up C6Z swap(got what i want, and out the door they go)
'08 Z06 2.66 ratio TR6060 at the dealer getting rebuilt
'09 27 spline diff already here, and heading to RPM to be but to 30 spline and update the output shafts
'07 cradle already here
RKT56 offset mounts already here

I have never liked gold or bronze colored wheels, but your setup against the white looks awesome! Very sweet looking car!

That 5.3 should do really well! Good luck man!

Love the car, wheels ect, and looks great!
I have a 99 FRC white so I may be partial lol, I will be following this setup as well I just put a blower on the stock motor...

How come your going with a LS7 clutch? DO you have the new spindles for the 15" wheels?

Because is was given to me and I am a cheap ***. I will be buying the spindles yes, IF and WHEN I decide to do that portion.

That ls7 clutch won't even make it off the dyno man.. Love the car though!

I thought the same thing when I built my motor. i bought thr gates laser aligmmet tool, re-aligned it, and everything. after shredding a couple 90$ 8rib belts, I pulled the front of the motor back off and installed a direct drive. no problems since.

shooting for low to mid 600 whp, have several cars around here that have zero issues with the ls7 clutch for many miles.

151k miles, it would be fine, but with the stronger bottom end in the 5.3L I decided this was a good cheap alternative.
