With drag brakes any 15" drag wheel should work. Pretty sure the caliper doesn't stick past hub at all with drag brakes, I will double check mine in the morning

I don't plan to change the rear brakes though. This is already quite expensive. But that's a possibility. Thanks for the suggestion

Gotcha I agree as I'm only running drag brakes on the front as well. I went with these wheels as not many vettes are running them. They fit with factory rear brakes. Billet Specialties F body street lites

I love bead locks! Part of why I want to go with alumastars. They look awesome and really give a serious look to a car. Very expensive though..

Don't forget that you can use rear brakes on the front to clear 15s. That's what is on mine for the draglites.

Well my 16" CCW drag pack finally sold and I ordered the rear set of Weld RT-S (black) wheels in 15x10 w/ 7.5"BS and MT ET Drag tires 26x10

Keeping stock brakes in the rear. Going to be doing strange engineering brakes up front. I'll be ordering the brake kit and front wheels/tires soon. All wheels will be 15" with 25" tall front runners and 26" tall Drag slicks. LG drag spindles are already installed. I'll mount the rims to see if any grinding is necessary for a clean fitment.

Looking forward to seeing the car with 15" wheels and full slicks

This is what 15" front and rear look like. I have 26" front tires and the MT radial Pro 275 on the back. 28" tall.

Nice, mines torch red too so it gives me a good idea. I'm also considering doing the one piece alumistar 2.0 front runners. A little more pricey, but would look really good too and be lighter weight. Still have some time to decide on that.

Yes it's required on the rear and you won't see it Til it's on the ground...

Yeh. It took a lot of grinding. A bit more than I expected, but no where near the point where I thought the strength would be compromised.

I had to grind for the CCW pack as well. So I'm hoping it's already where it needs to be. Thanks for the tip. I know what to look for when the suspension is loaded. The calipers may need some attention for the 15s too though.

Good luck with that. Mine was clearanced for the 16'' CCWs too and there was still a bunch more than needed attention to fit the 15'' Welds.

Obviously I'm going to go over it before it's ready to be driven.

I have the rears on, going to order the fronts and strange brake kit soon. Capthuff, I'm wondering if any grinding was required up front or is the brake kit all that's needed?

I bought my car with the 15" brake kit already installed... That said, there is no grinding required on the control arms. And I believe the brake kit is direct bolt in. The calipers are not in the way of the wheels.

Thanks for the info. I suppose now would be the time to finally buy a line lock since I'll be needing to remove the fluid for this job.

Yes, thread is old & flame suit is on :P

This only applies to stock fender C5s pls, since most 15s come only in 7.5"BS, do they stick out with 275 tire past the fenders? Anyone got decent shots from the back showing how the car sits on 15s?
The correct size for C5 is 15x10 7.5"BS? How about the fronts? Anyone running something in between skinny and wide wheel, something like 7"-8" wide? What would be correct BS to fit without sticking out?
