"Another piece of huge news from the Vortech camp is the release of the 110 twins – The V-11 XB110 and the V-21 XB110. These new compressors are certain to cause a stir in the drag race and high-horse street community, with their relatively small size-to-output capability, and especially the V-11′s ability to be a drop-in upgrade in many applications for those who are maxing out their YSi and still want more (A LOT MORE)."

I didn't think it would bolt in place??? If so I'll be broke in a matter of hours!
This is for your Robert-new build, new motor, and power to make the Clown disappear!
Arun, lets not get the CLOWN going on you are me again in here. I was told next time it was vacation time again. I got more than my share of them in the past. If the clown come to BG next year I will spank he down the track with no problems.Robert
Save your money yet buddy-don't make any descicions just yet.
It's "supposed" to fit.
Which means someone is going to "make it fit".
Oh I am. I'm waiting on Andy to get his paws on one. Since mine is apart right now, I'd LOVE to get my hands one to see how close it is to a "replacement". I'd much rather have this blower than the F2 I have on stand by...
F2's are pretty easy to come by lately-but not very serp belt friendly.
That's why I'm going with something bigger. I was done with the YSi. BradenW here has a F2 that I have been planning on picking up. Z06wanted and 0204ramair had great luck turning the F2 with Cartek brackets and direct drive, believe they turned it up to 30psi.

Do you think the YSi is done? I think there's more left-I was getting 265kpa out of a heavy breathing 402.
There's no way the blower was done-the boost curve was still climbing at 7400 rpm.
I haven't even got a chance to try the "kill" pulleys yet-if I had a smaller motor-I bet I would be ALOT faster.

On my combo, it was done IMO. I have a 8" crank pulley and 2.6 blower and at 7,000-7,200 I was seeing 276 KPA and it wouldn't build anymore boost(no slip), even tickling 7,700 it wouldn't go any higher and IATs were climbing like a volcano. From 7,000-7,700 it was just flat lined at 276. This was the first time on the dyno and no water/meth.
My compression checks in around 9.5:1. On the stock engine the blower would build boost until you let off the loud pedal with the 3.8 pulley.
What blower pulley were you using?
I'd love for the YSi to get me over 1,100 closer to 1,200 but it doesn't have it in it. Kurgan has even told me that.

It made 903/845, but that was on 7 cylinders, so it was making a little jam. Didn't get have a chance before the airfield event to dyno after replacing the gasket and then the YSi blew up at the event and car has been sitting since.

This should knock it out of the park.

Agreed on the 1100 output, and thats with a really good engine/heads etc IMO. I have tried to break the 1100's and have knocked on the door with some really close numbers with a YSI, but have never seen a graph over 1100 yet. I'm sure someone has though, just not me.
As I said in the C6 section, we are working on fitting this head unit with a thick set of brackets that also incorporates a 12 rib belt. We are also working on an additional bearing to help support the shaft of the charger to increase head unit life at these power levels.
Along with a fix for the charging system loss for direct drive belt systems that can be retro fitted to what you currently have or just purchased straight out should make the standing mile/street car guys happy hopefully.
I will post up results when we have some, hopefully it wont take too long.

I have searched to no end and have yet to find anyone do it. I know my combo is dangerously close to it and I'm very tempted to put mine back on once its back from being rebuilt and see exactly what I can get out of it. its a fantastic blower and I love the power curve it gives me on my set up, but 1,050-1,100 is all its going to give us, and that's with a well thought out combo and some good rpm.
