Congrats to A/C man on his new personal best 1/4mi
Scott had been complaining to me about how his car was running for a long time. I finally talking him into bringing me the car so that I could help him out with it and I finished tuning it 2 weeks ago.
It's a nasty hot day all over Texas and Scott decided to go to the Pine Valley Raceway in Lufkin. He drove it there with 93 octane pump gas and the new methanol system that I installed for him. With a DA of 2240ft and having to ease into the car in 1st due to poor traction, he ran a 9.79@ 141.42
Easing into the gas he still managed a 1.54 60' time. Looking forward to seeing what the car does with better traction and weather!

Congrats on the new PB Scott! Pretty damn good for the DA you had to run in... I figure you'll pick up 2 mph in some 0' DA in the Fall/Winter.
I'm suprised the 28" ETs didnt hook for you..... How was the track prep? What air pressure?
Picking up 29 mph on the back half in crap air is not bad at all... But I would expect 31-32 mph in GOOD air... especially with 800+ rwhp.
That gives you some goals for the winter air.
Good Job Bret for getting him fixed up!! finally!

Post up some more pics of the car!
Yes on bias ply tires I usually start at 18 psi and go down until it hooks... 12-13 psi is not uncommon but would be scary with as much mph as your car runs... May have to put tubes in them to run them that low.
What's in the front suspension? Are you getting good transfer? Is the battery in the rear?
Lots of things you can do to help them hook but.. 800+ rwhp is hard to stick.
Winters97GT went 1.44 60's with a stick so... It can be done. I think his is stock suspension too..
