10.51 @ 140.46 MPH Video!
While my C5 is setup for canyon running/roadracing, and the standing mile, I thought I'd get out for a rare run at the drags...
I left the T-1 bars connected, and did not adjust the Pfadt coilovers from the normal setting. I did throw on a set of 305/35/18 MT DRs, and aired them down to about 19 psi. I drove the car to Fontana, the DA was around 2500, and made my first pass in a while. 10.89 @ 137.95 MPH. They warned my for going over 135 MPH, since I don't have a FULL cage, and a shutoff in the rear. They told me to lift on the next run, I did... right after I crossed the finish line!!!
They booted me, but that was fine, the lines were long, and I was happy with the second pass: 10.51 @ 140.46 MPH. I watched for a while, then drove her home in one piece!!
I really want to take a moment to thank a few people and shops that have had this car running very well for the past 9 months!!

JB I've seen your car and its by far one of the most awesome street C5's I've seen. You do the standing mile, 1/4 mile, and Pulls in mexico.
I don't know if you already do this but I wanted to know if you do autcross or road race your car.
Again, good run!

Nice run, especially for a non-drag race junkie. The spec of my car is very similar to yours, and watching your video is a good substitute for endangering my drive train at the track.

This is the exact reason I don't drag race, the rules are retarded. Maybe 50 years ago they made sense but these days cars come from the factory with the capability to run 10's with some sticky tires.
Congrats on the pass BTW

Thanks, that's why I don't want to launch too hard...
Thanks as always!!
Thank You!
Thanks Buddy, it was a "natural" kind of row that went real smooth...
Thank you, but to launch any harder for a few more tenths is not worth it to me. Even though I have all the beefed up stuff in the drivetrain, dead hooking 800+ RWHP can still cause a lot of damage...

Nice run in the car man for sure, One bad thing and these cars is for sure the 60ft time sucks. Unless you go with a 400 trans are a P/G in her and all the other few things to do to get it down. Very nice run.....
