TNT bottle with NX Bottle opener (Here's how)
OK I got my TNT bottle set up with the NX bottle opener. I know many people have said you can't do it, but you can.. Here is how:
Machine the collar to 34 mm inner diameter.
Cut the **** that goes on the handle to 22 mm tall. Cut off the bottom.
Machine a 22mm diameter hole down the middle of the **** 19mm deep. That leaves you a base that is 3 mm. Cut a 7mm X 7mm hole in the base. Basically you’re just playing with the round hole.
The **** will fit right on, and the spring and washer will go right in.
That’s it….. Here are some pictures..

Re: TNT bottle with NX Bottle opener (JMon)
There is an easier way for the lazy. I just bought a NX valve for my TNT bottle :smash: Now I just have to decide if I want to buy a bottle opener or get a hand operated valve in line.

Tuan is correct, I bought the first onee from Brian and last I checked he still had one for $25. I would rather spend $25 then do all that metal work :U

Come on guys where’s your sense of adventure????
I mean spending $25 on a different valve just admits defete. :blueangel:
Actually makes you wonder why TNT just doesn't OEM out the bottle opener and do the machine work themselves so they have their own bottle opener.
BTW made a few runs on my TNT N2O system this weekend. Pretty sweet. Doing the 1/8 in 7.7->7.8 at 86mph still with 2.2 sec 60s  Think it's time for tires.

Re: TNT bottle with NX Bottle opener (C5-VERT)
I've been running at Dallas. The best I pulled on the car stock was 9.255 at 77.44 and once a 9.293 at 82.10 (this was a 1 time deal)
I can run 8.7s all night long at 85~86 with N2O but just can't do any better than that..... I have a 6 speed. Everyone keeps saying I should be doing much better, but have know idea why I'm not.

Yes you should be running alot faster. I am running high 7's with 2+ 60' times on the juice and 8.3+ off the juice.

Yeah I meant 8.7s....... God if I was running 7.7s I would love it. Don't think that will happen though.

Tuna, man I am slow sometimes...
Jmon, I would perform a compression check on the motor to see what condition it is in. Or better yet, a leakdown test. What mods do you have? Besides the 100 shot?

Re: TNT bottle with NX Bottle opener (C5-VERT)
No other mods. Dyno's really well. haven't done a dyno on the N2O but a few weeks ago I did a run when it was 100% stock and everything checked out well. Everything seems good. I'll do a N2O dyno run at the Cruse-In.
Maybe I'm just a bad drag race driver>>>

Sorry about that Tuan, I never looked at your name very closely and have always wondered why someone would call themselves Tuna. Now I know I've just been looking at it wrong all this time
