What do you think of the edelbrock timing cover? Its got be the most maligned, ill repute LS pieces ever made. I just bought one, despite the advice I got here........LOL!!!

Any fitment or clearance issues? I'm going with a LS6 pump and LS2 chain so I'm in OE specs for fitment.

Will not clear a LS1/LS6 water pump. Clears a LS7 water pump and later LS2 water pump, no problem. Oil pump - clears all years from 2001 up.

Just figured Id give you an update. The 4254 two piece cover clears my LS1 pump. The cover comes with 5 replacement cap screws that you use to replace the OEM bolts for the water pump backing plate. That gives it the clearance it needs.
