Frozen D1 Pulley Bolt *** Need suggestions...
Hi Guys,
So I have to shim out my D1 pulley but the bolt on the pulley is frozen... Any suggestions besides PB?

That would worry me a bit because of the fine threads. Any chance it was cross threaded? I always use antisieze on that bolt because the shaft is keyed. I usually use and impact gun to take the bolt off good luck.

Not x-threaded, I did use a bit of anti-seize, just nervous about hitting it with a gun, never had to on other heads.

When mine was stuck once -
I took a Allen Wrench and put it in the Allen Wrench bolt in the front of the ProCharger to back up the Impact Wrench and socket on the pulley side -
You'll see on the intake side the allen bolt, just make sure you put a extender pipe on the allen wrench so it is easier to hold and then hit the Impact Wrench slightly, bumping it and it'll back out fine
Thanks,Matt

Just double check that all wires or anything flammable is out of the way!
I know that this sounds like something stupid to say to a Guy that works on cars all of the time, but it's easy to overlook stuff like this if you get frustrated!
Good Luck Brian!

Nope, I need to shim it out a bit less than 1/4". I loose 1 rib every season on the belt and I recently got ahold of a laser tool and the D1 pulley needs to come out a bit. My setup was not an off the shelf rig and measuring the pulley depth, I discovered my pulley is about 1/4" longer than what came on a D1 from A&A and since everything else on my setup is A&A, the problem lies in the pulley that came with the D1. Easier to deal with the blower than all the other pulleys etc...

Well aware that heat travels so I won't burn anything up... Good lookin out though.
