Cruise-In VII Veteran
I was wondering if anyone from the NE was going to that event, Nick(ARH) said it was insane last year
cool graphics for the vert
Does the glide work on the street and still capable of 8sec passes? Complied with.

Congrats to the entire ECS crew!!!
First hand I know the effort and time these guys have put in through out the years. I'm very happy to see that it has paid off
Now Doug, let’s get project ECS001 on the way
HMMMM doesn’t the 1 kind of look like a 7
Great job guys

Thanks guys, we had a great time despite the 36 hours of driving to get there and back!
We came with two goals in mind, which was to win the true street event, and run a new PB. Both goals were met, and now we are setting our sites on the IRS record. Only .09 away...
Then I have to decide whether or not I'm going to use the LSX block for my next build or what!? With our soon to be released, glide and C6Z diff combo being completed now, there's no reason for me not to make even more POWA.
Yes, he was runner up. Very nice guy, took the time to come over and say congrats, stand up racer.
The 8.63 pass was 100% throttle, at low timing. I was going to start leaning on it on Sunday, but I heard something at the end of the pass, so I want to check things out before I go and hammer it again. Hopefully I pilot bearing or something easy, we'll see.
That was the radial class that Paul Major usually enters in. Those guys are out of my league, most of them were in the sevens.
Ahhh yes, ECS supercharger install # 001 has come back nearly 20 years later for an update!
BlownbyECS still owns the car that I did my first SC install on! In 1990-91 we installed a Paxton supercharger on his 89' Iroc Z, didnt exactly get the results we do now, but it wasn't too bad for a 305 at that time.
Since then we have built a 422 Darton bowtie block with Brodex heads, and my old F2 head unit. The build is almost finished, and I just dont think he has a clue of just how fast that's goin' to be!!!!

Doug great meeting you after so many telephone confabs, great racing with your very cool and deadly C5 vert, the IRS record is well within your grasp, I felt bad it didn't happen for you at Memphis, the weather was just perfect for our Blower cars. Winning the True Street Class is a major feather in your cap. You have inspired me to step the "Barbie Vette" up a bit to the next level (I am envious of your 1.20s 60' times) Dan Bills, Chuck Johnson and I are revisiting the trans break benefits. I really hope you and I can actually race at some future events we both have been at it for quite a while. I really look forward to seeing your Vette in action again, its a treat to watch the fruits of your hard work in action.

Nice job ECS!!!
The street car debate will go on forever. The thing that impresses me most is how many eight second runs you have made without major parts breaking. I've never seen an eight second C5 vette do that before.

The really cool thing is that before Doug and Mike left for the event, Doug said that there are some really fast cars competing, and he didn't think he would win, based on the competition. Setting the bar high and taking home the win, nice. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy

Great job Doug!
Like Scotty (Nemesis) said, you just proved to the world what we already knew...........That you Guys can walk the walk and not talk the talk! Did you run the quarter with that video camera mounted up there? If so, mind sharing some footage?
