My 346" with good flowing heads an intake etc, acheived 805 SAE RWhp with a D1SC @ 16lbs. with a 3.85" and a stock diameter 8 rib pulley. What I am suggesting is your number of 730hp is more of an indicator of force required on the input shaft, than is the number of 21lbs.
You are correct. We were just trying to keep things simple.

There are quite a few other variables to consider even outside of the HP and Boost level. To name a couple consider the size of the impellar (both diameter and mass) and the step-up ratio of the blower, the larger impeller contributes to a higher Moment of Inertia and the higher step up ratio contributes to a higher mechanical advantage that the impellar will have on the drive sytem both on acceleration, but more importantly on the deceleration of the engine.

For example, large blowers like the F series Prochargers with an 5.4 step up ratio at 10PSI making 600 RWHP on a larger displacement engine is harder on the drive system than say a D1SC with a less aggressive step up ratio at 630 RWHP making 16 PSI on a relatively stock 346.

That number was through an unlocked converter, the converter gave up and wouldn't lock on the dyno. So the number is reading quite low compared to where it should be. With a properly locked converter the same setup will probably be around 760 to 775 RWHP or if it were a manual trans car, over 800 RWHP. This blower was being over spun so the peak number won't go up much if at all, but it will make more power sooner in the RPM range when being compared to a similar setup not being spun quite as hard.

The dyno sheet isn't showing up any more, can it be reposted? Thanks!

Yes, we will repost the dyno graphs…we are about to release our new website. Some of our “hosted” images have been temporarily removed. The launch of the new the site will be in about a week. We will be reveling some new; innovative products as well, so it will be worth it to check out Cartek’s new website.

I received my flip-drive yesterday. It will be going on a new 408 F1R 8-rib combo. I should have results in 4-6 weeks.

For those reading this for the first time, here is a link to the previous post:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-f...wer-drive.html

Later we will post a dyno sheet, just wanted to get this up as we are very excited about the results of our detailed testing.

We went down in pulley size in .15 to .10 increments. Unfortunately we never found the limit LOL. We maxed out the blower at 63,000 rpm impeller speed. We figured we would stop since we had run over the rated limit for rpm on a D1SC.

The results after testing:
Max boost achieved: 21 lbs
Horsepower achieved: 730+ RWHP
Blower pulley: 3.4"
Damper: Stock
Belt slippage: ZERO

Particulars about the car:
Corvette C5
Cartek built/forged 347
ProCharger D1SC Blower
4L60E automatic transmission

I suppose the next step is to try this with an F1 head unit.

So I guess this answers the question about what the Flip Drive can do versus an 8 rib alone...and do all of the same and then some while still saving your accessories. For those with an 8 rib system this kit will eliminate belt slip (do keep in mind that you may not realize that you have slip) and of course still provide added insurance to increase the life of your accessories. And for those with a standard 6 rib system...look no further.

MAX, (This my proof that I need)
I need to speak with you about my set-up and this is the thread I need to see for my set-up!

My D1SC and 3.2" is having a couple of issues - (They say belt slip).

Is there anyway I can speak with you over the weekend?

Thanks,Matt
