Default Z06 TTiX 347" Build

We have a new shop project going on right now (actually its been going on for probably a month). Its funny how this project came about: break at the track (drivers side output shaft), towed in to diagnose, and leave with not only a TTiX system but also a forged 347".

My customer would like to be left anonymous. For those of you that recognize the car, for my customers sake, please keep it under your hat

Note: I apologize in advanced my digital camera has taken a hike requiring me to use the back up 2MP camera with a 8MB flash card

Nick

I've had a lot of requests lately regarding turbocharger positioning. I took a few pictures to help clear a few things up. Hopefully this will help out some of you.

This camera is a piece of crap. George wants me to go to Costco and get a new one I could bring in my SLR ...

I'll have some more to share later... Just staying busy up front today.

I like my APS kit a lot, but I have to compliment you guys on the design and routing setup on the turbo packaging. VERY nicely done.

Looks like T1 sway bars on this application....how in the world did you get them to work? Do you have a modified piping that clears the bar end on the passenger side? If you do I would be interested in it too as I ditched my T1's and went back to the ZO6 bars and still had to modify the piping to clear the sway bars

Thanks

:cough: twin disc :cough: :cough:

These clutches work so well. They are supposed to be very hard to daily drive and every single one I've driven has yet to let me (or anyone else at the shop) down. The first couple of incidents I thought they were a single disc setup.. I was shocked to hear there were two discs in there. I had no idea! ... but then again the twin disc setups I'm used are on FWD cars... Slipping the clutch sounds like the axles are going to rip out at an idle, Almost like a spool on a RWD car!

Exedy gets the big from me!

These turbo chargers look to have large wheels. How do they compare to GT35 ?

These are the bigger compressor and turbine wheel that are comparable to the GT35.

Do you have problem with the turbos gravity draining oil into the pan there? Do they pull any oil back up on decel? That is the same location as my turbo kit and I am trying to figure out how to drain them. I didn't think they would drain on there own. I run a scavenge pump but it doesn't work 100%.

Killer install by the way.

We've never had an issue with under hood temperatures as far as I know...

We've never had a problem with our oil drains. Our dealers usually don't ever have a problem either. Our directions state very clearly how to install them. I've never heard the theory of the turbochargers pulling oil up under decel either? That's a new one to me. Thanks for the kind words as well!

I brought in my DSLR and I plan on taking some pictures when I get freed up. This is the first time today I've had a chance to check up on the forums. I figured this thread would be filled with tons of pop corn similes by now

I know even with the 402,A/C on in the summer, coolant temps stay in the 210-215 range,200-205 with A/C off.Underhood heat doesnt seem any different than NA cars but I havent shot a heat gun either.NO issues with oil drains, fits like a glove,NO smoking, turbos look good every time I pull them to change something else.I LOVE my X-kit,dont think I could go back to NA now I am spoiled.Oh,and there dealers as well are first rate, ready to answer multiple stupid questions. Thanks guys for a great product !
