Default Aps tt 403 dyno results

Well I finally had a chance to drive my car To LA and get the car Tuned (Doug From Dynamic tuning soultions)
It had to be the hottest day in LA of all time 102-103 in the dyno room (according to the dyno temp gauge and my cars gauge)

As you all may know i have been battling the Inlets issue with the APS cars on C5 kits.. and i made my own inlets 2 1/2 inch straight through(the APS inlets i recived did NOT fit)... Anywho car is tuned 10.7 -11.0 nice and safe. best number at 13.2 psi is 735rwhp and 812rwtrq ..
towrds the end of the day we figured out on the Eboost2 the "gate pressure" setting makes a diffrence on how it hold the boost(havent really understood that yet)

by the time we made the last pull.. i called it quits As Doug had to go to the Airport and I needed to head back to vegas. not sure the car had any more in it. with 100 degrees and temps were up there.

I think when the temps will cool down ill hit the dyno again and see if i can get 770-780.. Doug feels the car has more if the temps were cooler and we played around with the gate pressure setting... (who knows)

As far as the characteristics of the car ... it Runs like a **** on the 13 psi the car was going side ways at 90 mph and the power feels Sick.I know on the street it making more power due to the inlets getting RAM air straight through them and not a big fan blowing 100* air at 20mph .

Doug will email me the charts of all the runs , here is picture i took with my phone

I know i did not hit my target of 800rwhp but i do see more potential once i get some kinks worked out.

All Were Done on 91 octane and meth.

Wow +100 degrees I bet if you go out at 60 degrees you'll see another 100hp at something crazy like 17psi. But you don't need it, that's way too much power anyway. Come over here it's 63 degrees right now, oh wait nevermind it's also raining. Congrats and enjoy man you deserve it! Where's the video!

Man that's fantastic and I feel you should eventually be able to hit your 800 RWHP with some cooler temps and a little more dyno time!

I know your Vette was in good hands with Doug as he had done all the majority of tuning to my Vette up till the new motor

Where is his shop located?

Thanks,Matt

It was not boost friendly day

IAT's were hitting 155 at one point and were above 135 through most of the runs... (we were pressed for time and could not let the car cool off ) runs were couple of minutes apart...and thats after the car was on the dyno for 3 hours of tunning..

Congrats on the awesome #'s There is definitely more left in it considering the heat the car was being tuned in and only running 13lb of boost.

Sammy, NICE work!! Those are some nice numbers and the main thing is it runs like a ****. DId you try turning up the boost more or were you keeping it lower becasue of the IAT's? Do you run meth? Cooler air will make a huge difference. You will see when you get your cool nights in Vegas!
I tried the inlets on my car but with my custom PFADT sway bars they hit the links. I am in the process of making my own inlets and I have been using the couplers you sent me to make mock ups to make my own. I ran into more set backs so it's taking longer than expected. If I do complete these I am doing it in a way I will be able to make more sets. You will be #1 on the list!!

13.2 psi?

That's not much on a forged 402 and your torque is GREAT!

I'm sure you'll hit and maybe even surpass your goal in cooler weather and upping the boost!

way to go sammy.....

is that doug in the car? heard he is a clean cut guy.

anyway gate pressure isnt the setting that contols overall boost pressures. its the "gain" in which the seliniods open. it basically keeps the wastegates closed as long as possible to give u more midrange power.

set it below whatever ur boost is. to close to the boost pressures can cause spiking. if i were u id set it at 8 or so....

Dan, I am running meth.... between the heat and the car sitting for HOURS on the intial "dial in tune" , the meth was borderline boiling ..

In about a month temps in vegas drop to 60's .. i will try some pulls and see what she can do with cold air..

the trq is ridiculous , car hits like a big shot of n20

Im very happy and HP carries way better then my old setup.

And as soon as you get some real Inlets dialed in , let me know

Nick, thats Doug (yes he is clean cut guy ) super nice guy and down to earth.

thanks for the info Nick, it was set at 2.5 on the eboost, as soon as doug set it at (i think 5-6 .) the boost held all the way to redline. where before it was falling off.. so that is one thing we will look at next time.

it wont affect overall psi it will just keep the gates closed longer therefor boostin midrange.

The Gate pressure function allows you to determine the
pressure at which the waste gate begins to open. By optimising the gate pressure
and keeping the waste gate closed as long as possible, your desired boost will be
achieved faster and at lower RPM. Substantial gains in torque will be achieved. The
six gate pressures have been factory set to 3 psi (0.21bar or 21kpa).

Good numbers man. Catch a better day and you'll see your goals. I'm hoping my new "baby" setup will make the same HP number as yours at 14 PSI here in a couple of months (less TQ obviously) in colder weather conditions.

How did those inlets you did up perform?? Any signs of collapse?? I'm going to start farting around with those flex pipes and see what I can come up with in the meantime.

Congrats on getting the car back together

Anymore than 650 RWHP for the street is too much IMHO as street tires just can't hook up.

The larger displacement motor sure did improve the torque numbers.
