I talked to Andy today about ordering my kit and I forgot one of the questions I wanted to ask. I cant find it on his site so I figure someone here knows. Are the A&A supercharger kits smog legal?

I had the BAR come out to my shop a few months ago and the the District Supervisor told me I could use the Vortech CARB #.
Your car will pass with my system on it.

Wow, that's awesome. So the Vortech S/C has a CARB #. Would there be a sticker or something that is on there that the SMOG technician could easily see?

Its a engraved plate right on the s/c. Even a blind smog tech could use braille to read it...

The Ysi is not smog legal. It reads "NOT FOR STREET USE" but Texas doesn't seem to be as strict as CA about these things. Pretty soon CA probably won't care either because it looks like they're going to be understaffed and PO'd from getting minimum wage.

Yea California is about to become a war zone of employees fighting the government in the streets. I work for the county government and I can tell you why it is so fugged up budget wise in this state cause every single department is run like a overstaffed circus. Im glad im retiring this year...only 51 so got plenty of youth left in me to go have fun.

Even in California you can stay 100% smog legal such as my A&A Vortech T trim package. No headers, stock cam/heads and even retains the pcv assy in stock location and it made 525/455 rwhp/tq yesterday with a very conservative tune when install was finished.
