Default Path from D1SC to Vortech?

What is the upgrade path from D1SC to Vortech? Is the only path sell and buy new? There's more noise from the blower than from the exhaust.

Other parts are; 8-rib pulley setup, A&A v2 bracket (full wrap).

You want to convert because of the noisy blower?
I don't think the Vortech is self contained so you would need to do that. I would imagine you could get away with head unit and bracket. The piping to the intercooler should be real close, at most you may need one piece of tube? Without seeing it, I'm just guessing.

The self contained vortech is known as a V-3 model.

I thought I saw a few people migrate from P1SC setups to Vortech. I don't recall any going from D1SC to Vortech though, and I wonder how much some silence costs.

What are you looking to accomplish?

You might want to discuss options with Bob at EPP. If your looking to run more boost efficiently and tax the head unit less you might want to consider a F1a or F1c head unit. They will utilize your existing D1SC bracket and set up plus you can then sell your D1SC.

Might be a cost effective option to get more performance at a reasonable price.

I'm looking for quiet. When I pull up to a group of people (starbucks, crosswalk, etc), the nose of the car presents the loud procharger whistling rattling noise and the SSQ BOV chirping adds to that.

I went the opposite direction, from a Vortech to the D1SC and wouldn't want to go back at all!

If you do go to the Vortech you will have to pick up the SQ models which are the quieter units. The only PITA is taping the oil pan for the return line of the head unit, you need to move the rack of to the side etc. etc. in order to get a drill into drill the front drivers side corner for the line.

As for cost????
