Default C6 single turbo kit....C5 next?????

here is a C6 getting a single TRUBO KIT in the C6 section. hopefully, if there is enough intrest, it might lead to a C5 kit!!

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=2016813

the makers of the kit say there is room for turbos upto the FI94X unit. thats around 1750bhp acording to the manufactures, Forced Inductions. should make for an intresting ride!

Cheers

Chris.

PS. sorry if this is a repost. i know its not a C5 just thought you guys might like to see it.

I would like to see it on a C5!

But is the single turbo much better than a F1 ProCharger or one of equivilency?

Thanks,Matt

well with a turbo you dont have to worry about belts snapping, or having to move the rack to acomidate the massive belt needed!

on the other hand the turbo guys have to contend with mugh higher under hood temps. this can be sorted to some degree with coatings and heat wrap.

is there any reason this shouldn't work for the C5???

Cheers

The hood hinges are much bigger on a C5 and would require different plumbing. As for working... I agree the heat in the engine bay can be controlled, but the IC/radiator configuration will determine what application the setup can endure.
