Default *vid* JAXX + RPM TRANNY = ET!

HUGE congrats to Heath for his personal best yesterday @ ATCO.
There should be no question and the awesome products and service @
RPM....
Look at his times and how hard the tires were hittin'!

My day was cut short due to a faulty alternator. I'm bummed but when it happen, u'll see in the vid, I though that it was MUCH worse so.....
I was able to run 4 passes. 1st was 7.5 psi 19" R888 Toyo 10.4X @ 134the best was was 10.1 @ 143.24 @ 11 psi on the Toyos. On all these runs my converter was locking during the 2>3 shift. This was making my shift extentions minimal. 6600 was dropping down to 4300! My car makes a boatload of power but that drop is waaaay to great. I made some edit changes but was unable to test due to the alternator.

Watch and enjoy...

Sorry you had issue's with the alternator Nick... You'll have to do as I do and keep a spare in the parts bin.

Don't know much but the numbers look good for the boost and not being optimal

YEAH i did.......sucks but every time i got to the track i learn a little more. last time at the track i was having crank sensor issue. that since has been resolved. that was a stange PITA as there was no code indicating sensor issue yet that is wha it was! the tcc locking is also strange as the apply was set @ 255. and release @ 256 but still stayed locked. i think the issue has to do with "shift locked" table being enabled. this table according to hp tuners, states that it allows the tcc to stay locked during shifting and should have nothing to do with tcc apply. but as i have learned these tables are cascading and may overide another one, ull never know that until its tested.

Nick -

What MPH is your coverter locking at?

I was hoping to get close on that before I make a trip to the track myself...

Thanks!

not at my laptop to give u exact but 95-97 mph.
if i turned the boost up locking at that mph might not be an issue but with low boost it just pulls it down way to low...listen to the vid of my car.....u can here it....loafing along.
