Congrats to Sean for some great runs. This car still has stock LS1 heads untouched.. We had some nice air today (-700) so we decided to turn up the boost a few pounds and see what it will run. I think he saw 12-13 pounds but I am sure he will fill us in. The car is still running a 6 rib drive. Here is the car combo..

2003 Coupe
full weight with roll bar
factor front wheels and drag radials
stock engine and LS1 heads
Our 6 rib Paxton kit
our blower cam
RPM level 5 trans
3.42 gears
Yank 3800 stall
Stock intake and throttle body
ECS meth kit

Hmm

Stock motor - Check
Rodney Level 5 tranny - Check
Higher stall Yank Torque converter - Check
Drag Radials - Check

ECS Paxton Kit, Meth Kit and blower cam - priceless.

Tom,

if you can match the boost - you will be right there for the Stock block title.. you ran 10 psi.. bump it to 12.. it will be close.

either way mad props to ECS for that run. its really is unreal.

Unbelievable day!
The car came out first pass with a 9.84 but we hit the rev limiter at the end of the pass and lost some mph. The second pass we lost the good air that we had in the morning since we were close to sea level then, but without hitting the rev limiter that time it dropped to a 9.82 @ 138.9 mph!!

Shawn (2003VETTE on the forum) and I started talking about how well the car has been running and decided to go for the car's best pass. All we did was remove the restrictor plate from his base 6 rib Paxton kit, dialed in the fuel for the extra boost, and let her rip.

I let him borrow my CCW front skinnies for the day and the rears were stock rims with drag radials. The car was and always is driven to and from the track and is a full weight coupe.

I really think this Paxton package might be one of the most reasonably priced nine second packages available at this point. Very few kits can offer times like these with the limited amount of parts that are into this car, along with the future upgrades that it offers from there.

Shawn and his father Marty had a great season of racing this year and my hats off to them for some great driving!

Wow!

Now that's taking advantage of the full power potential of a Novi, and even more impressive with a stock bottom end LS based motor.

Congrats to the owner and especially ECS for building such an affordable kit to take us to the 9's!

thats awesome, its not how you will run 9s, its when you want to run 9s in your daily street car...just drop the car off to ECS.

Very nice results-and on a 6 rib to boot-just goes to show how well engineered the kit is!

Wow, that's just incredible power! Do the stock LS1 heads you mention still have stock valve springs and pushrods or were they changed out?
