sounds about right for a guess... the X3 on 114 should do the trick.

I prefer their less aggressive lobes for FI. Easier on the valve train...

Something like...
Intake lobe 3719 232 .575 lift
Exhaust lobe 3653 240 .588 lift
grind it on a 114 or 113LSA...

If you want a more aggressive lobe with more lift...

3726 232 .595 lift
3730 240 .609 lift

you can look at their lobes here..page 29 and 30
http://www.compcams.com/Technical/Ca...obeCatalog.pdf

Custom grind was $406 and I had it in a week...
I have to look at the cam card for the comp cam that I spec'd 2 years ago....those numbers sound too familiar.

When are we gonna have some numbers on your monster???? Show me the way, bro....

Thx

You guys are suggesting some big cams Makes me feel like I have the smallest 408ci cam in the world being that the intake is 224.

FWIW I'm running a G5-X2 w/ 114 lsa, you can click the link in my sig to hear it. The new yella terras are a great piece and a direct bolt on (unless you have an early LSX w/ perimeter bolt valve covers)

Here's the YTs... too bad I had to cover them up

Harland Sharps are kinda heavy for 7500rpm and boost. I'd go with the rebuilt stockers or something else. I have the HS rockers as well, not bad but too heavy on the nose.

The original Yella-Terras had this issue too... thus the design revision. No more excess weight over the valve tip.

Who said it was a guess?

You're Welcome Richard!

I forgot about FMS cams. They use a Cam Motion lobe, which is a bit easier on valvetrain parts than the XE-R lobes from Comp and MUCH easier than the LSK lobes. Allan knows his stuff too. I have a buddy who put a Futral H/C (F13 and a set of Meaux ported heads)setup on his car and is putting 482 to the wheels and is VERY driveable!

I went with the following cam and we will see.

FMS FM8 Cam 225/233 .575 on a 113+2 with 1.75 rockers which ends up in around .595 total lift.

I wanted lope but did not want to kill drivability. I have plenty of boost on tap with the 2.8L KB.

I think the cam (228-232) you have would be good on a 114 or 115 LS, Maybe get the AFR 225's. I think your better off staying with the AFR 205s over the dart 225's though. Let the whipple make the power and keep your driveability civilized until you gun it. IMHO
