Default Norris Motorsports New Location and Grand Re-Opening ideas

Hey All,

After a long search for a good location and that is also a possibility of owning the property down the road, I am finally begining the move in to my new 3000 SF location. Nothing flashy, just prectical and efficient. Hard to believe I am now going on 11 years of LSx experience and 9 years of business and it would not be if it weren't for the support here.

Here is the new address and Google map:

Norris Motorsports, LLC
101 First Street
Winter Garden, FL 34787
407-616-2518

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=101+1s...i=map&ct=title

Most of the original Norris Motorsports folks will see I am about 2 miles from the original location that was in Ocoee. Here are some distances for folks.

1.5 Miles from exit 24 on the 429 Toll Road.
3.0 Miles from Exit 267 of the Florida Turnpike.
2.7 Miles from the new Winter Garden open air mall complex.
Roughy 17 Miles from the West Entance to Disney
Roughly 14 Miles to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure
Roughly 25 Miles to Orlando International Airport

As most know I sold the bulk of Next Level Performance and downsized my operations back in Oct/Nov 2006. My main business will be:

LSx tuning, both the simple & basic to full chassis dyno tuning.

Retail parts sales.

Internet parts sales.

Travel to other shops for tuning out of area customers.

Bolt on installs such as headers, exhaust, pulleys, forced induction, nitrous, clutches, torque converters, transmission assemblies installed, rear end assemblies installed, brake upgrades, suspension upgrades.

At this time and for as far as I can tell, I do not plan on doing any internal engine work, trans disassembly & repair, rear end disassembly & repair. The current owner of the property does not want to have any environmental issues and as long as quantities of oil are not invloved he is cool with any automotive work. I may be able to do a cam swap type of work and am still talking to the owner on that avenue.

I still do own my Dynojet 248 chassis dyno and will be in house so folks can get before and after horsepower results without extra cost.

I just felt I should be open and up front of what my business is about at this time. I have had a lot of support from everyone and the kind words are greatly appreciated from clients and other vendors and shops alike.

Please also remember that I am a one man show just as I was back in the starter days, well except for my wife, who is invaluable. What this means is that the person you talk to is the person doing the work and if there is an issue, there is only one person to go to. It also means that the procress of getting a job done may not be a quick as some other shops and that scheduling could get to be an issue if there is a tight timeline needed. But truly a one on one owner to client experience.

I have 95% of the shop equipment at the new location and hopefully by the end of next week I will be operational. There will be a Grand Re-Opening get together in the near future and the cooler weather will be perfect for that. For input on the get together, please fell free to post suggestions and comments.

Thanks again to everyone for the support over the years and into the future.

Mike Norris

I would say about 240-ish miles from Miami rjw and just 3 miles off the FL Turnpike.

Thanks Tony and I am down your way at Roys tmorrow and Saturday. Give me a call if you want to get together.

Mike is a great guy to deal with and very professional. You won't find a better tuner/installer who really wants to make sure you are pleased with the work. Congrats on the new shop!!! See you in the next week or so for my final tweaks!

Hi Chris,

Glad the car put a grin on your face and a solid 2-3 more punds of boost will feel like another new car for sure. Thanks for the kind words.

Skip,

I guess you survived the birthday week Thansk to you also and look forward to getting you tidies up soon.

Just a little more info pertaining to the Grand Re-Opening get together. Some of this may be a repeat of info, so bear with me.

It looks like it will be either Saturday Sept 22 or Saturday Sept 29th at this point. Hopefully the chosen date works for most folks and feel free to post what date you think is best and why. There will be a formal announcement this weekend on the date.

I will be running the dyno that day, but not to the extent that most who have come to one of my dyno days in the past. I want to be able to spend some time with folks and not get hung up on the dyno all day.

There will be two seperate drawings that day. The first will be for a set of free base dyno runs each hour. If your name is pulled and you are not present, I will pull another name, but the missing persons ticket will be put back in the draw for another chance. For those not wanting to wait to see if they win it will be $30 cash for 2-3 base runs with A/F readings and printout.

The second will be for a free full chassis dyno tune and for that you do not have to be present.

We will also be offering some great parts and installed package specials. As a teaser example, I will be doing a C5, C5 Z06, C6 and C6 Z06 installed package for American Racing headers which will include high flow catted X-pipe, 160 degree thermostat installed, NGK TR55 spark plugs, Stage 8 locking header bolts and a full in-house chassis dyno tune for $2295. If you already have some of these parts installed or wish to delete something, the price will be adjusted accordingly.

I will be doing the same for Dynatech brand headers with cats, but it will be $2195 for the C5, C5 Z06 and C6. The C6 Z06 will be the same as the American racing package at $2295.

As always, my full chassis dyno tunes will be $350 naturally aspirated and $400 for forced induction or nitrous vehicles. Bring in three or more as a group and everyone saves $50.

Let me know what y'all think and I appreciate your continued support and business.

Mike Norris
