Default stock LS6 + TTiX friday at the drags

Got a new best time at a local track called Bremerton raceway:

60- 1.836
1/8-7.393
MPH-99.22
1/4-11.276
MPH-127.15

Had one run afterwards that was a little better. At the 1/8 marker, it was .1 sec quicker, and looks like an 11.1 run on paper. I powershifted into 4th and went sideways at 110mph! I lifted and hung onto it, coasted thru the traps at 11.5@105.

There was a teeny tiny sprinkle of rain going on, but they were still running. It must have caused me to slip. I told them about it when I picked up my timeslip, and they shut down the track right there. It was starting to get late anyway, and better safe than sorry. Note to self: stop racing when you see rain on the window.

I think it's time for a roll bar and uncork the factory exhaust!

Nice numbers.

Glad you saved it. I just had that 4th gear experience two weeks ago and didn't like it much. I finished in the other guys lane - 11.67 at 92.

Nice runs Chris! Those are great, especially for the power you are putting down.

Nice #'s...glad you were able to keep the car under control. I had a similar experience shifting in to 3rd gear at the track with the old SC setup and basically did the same thing you did....good outcome but very eye opening

NICE! You can't beat always having the power there when you want it and going sideways in 4th is no joke!

Question for you guys gettin sideways on the track... were you running with Active Handling turned on and T/C off (i.e. Competitive Driving mode)?

Thanks for the feedback. High 10's are in it with a perfect run, and it's sooo quiet now maybe too quiet. Some free flowing exhaust will make it easier to get there. About the AH, mine was off but I think I learned my lesson!

No doubt about it, this car has 10.xx in it. Once Chris gets it dialed in no stopping the 10.xx quest. It was a little slippery that day, even on the launches, so...
Robert

Edit: Oh yea, on the AH, that's the only thing that kept me out of the wall at Seattle in Feb.

Oh yeah the clutch is excellent! At first it was real tight and grabby, and a trick to get used to. After racing it with some 5K launches, it's smooth as glass now! I REALLY like it that I don't have to baby the clutch anymore, it's a strong ****!!
