Nice Vid Nick! What's more impressive to me than the et or the trap speed, is that he's pulling the gears (it's a six speed).

You guys with 700-800 rwhp shouldn't feel bad losing to him because he's putting out a whole lot more power than 800 to the wheels!

Oufan2929,

You need 780 torque on a 427 Zee with a 3.42 gear and the right tire to wheel stand it. Mike proved that. I am over that in torque but no where near the wild thang above.

To run this speed. My guess is that Paul is around 1,500 rwhp.. This is a guess and this based on the other 1,200 rwhp car running mid eights. It is fast and he is only running a 10.5" tire.

Were you the one looking for the gear calculator?

Yup this has been going on for awhile now. We used to build 1,000 rwhp Supra's.........JZZ2 bottom out of the factory is bullet proof right out of the box. Strap on a couple of T-88's or Thumpers and some other mods and your over 800 rwhp and by no means is it cheap.

Gutted Civic's running in the 7, 8 & 9's the cars comming out of Japan have been fast for a long time. We don't see here in the Domestic market what they have in the far East for go fast goodies.

Here's another team that's been in the Supra market for awhile now which you can put up there with LPE.

Here's some more time trilas from NOPI

I was at MIR and watched the fastest Pro Mod field in history.

scotty cannon (Jr) turned a 6.01 at 239 not bad for a doorslammer

a bunch of those vettes turned in the 6.0s too. pretty amazing stuff

the turbo supras are amazing cars, but I still think I will stick with the vettes as they look a bit better to me.

my little ol drag car runs 9.2 @ 144 with nothing more than a mild 468 BB chevy with a turbo 400 on a flying toilet with alchy. it's for sale if interested. chassis is rated for MUCH more. it's a full boogie tube frame with a 4 link and a modular 9 inch ford rear with 4.10s in back.

car is priced at 24,500, you can't build it for twice that!!!! let me know if interested. oh yea, it's a blue 1980 Vette and looks KILLER too.

Roof's car is amazing, there is no doubt. He's got a red GTS that is done pretty much the same way, but it's a powerglide car.

The guy that shot the second video, Gary Javo, has already had one badass TT GTS, and he's getting another one built. It ought to get with it as well.

Tim Lynch's 1/8th mile wheelie is cool, too. Steve Petty can certainly make some power with turbo cars.
