Maggie Water Reservoir Leaked and caused...
my tachometer to go bonkers. I only drive my Vette on weekends and never thought to check the water level. After removing the tank I noticed a pinhole - literally - in the front, midway along the bottom seam of the tank. Ya'll may want to keep this in mind.
I have an Optima with the upper posts and wonder if the coolant allowed a short across them?
After fixing the hole and drying everything, the tach works fine - so far.

Burning Brakes
i just replaced my resevoir tank, (for other reasons, new pump too) me and my stupid experimenting...DOH!
the tank is cheap, $25 plus shipping. call magnuson
