Supercharger belts need lots of tension to not slip. Do you have a mod on your car to make the belt adjustable? If not I have an alternator bracket system I purchased from A&A Corvette that really helps my car out.

Something is making it squeal and needs to be looked into. More than likely one of the pumps or pulleys isn't spinning freely on startup which means it's going out. It's better to figure out now which one and correct it before it locks up for good when you're twenty miles from home and grenades the belt altogether.

I went from the GY Gator Back to a gates truck type belt. Get a little squeek from the Gates, nothing changed, same size etc... No issues and to be safe I double check everything every 2k miles...

Did you change the belt to a shorter one like we talked about?

Sometimes these belt's just squeek. Some new coating they put on them now.

The belt squeeks when cold then when the belt warms up it goes away. It's a belt problem, not a mechanical problem.

Slowhawk is correct.....mine was doing the same thing as well. For good measure check the alignment but most likely it just needs tightening.

Obviously you need to call so and so and order a squeekless belt.
