Default Good Luck To Phil From Dynotech...

One of the all around best guys in the Corvette tuning game is getting hitched this weekend... Phil Rickard, the head cheese over at Dynotech is getting put out to pasture (or stud I guess ). He really out kicked his coverage when he got his lovely fiancé Jenny to agree to put up with him for the REST OF HER LIFE!!

Unfortunately my wife and I can't make it to Ft. Wayne for the nuptials, but I just want to say that we'll be thinking about the two of them as they start their lives together.

Have a GREAT day guys!!!

Thanks guys!

Believe it or not, I'm looking forward to it, as I truly believe God answered my prayers when he sent Jenny to come into my life to straighten me out! She has been a real cornerstone here at DTE- with her running the office up front and just being another contributing reason for our success to date.

All my friends around here keep telling me that my "training" starts this Saturday.... I refuse to belive that of course!

BTW- We'll be out of the office from 11-12-05 to 11-28-05, but someone will still be here to answer phones, take orders, etc. while we're away. I can't wait, as I've not taken a vacation in over a decade.... (11 years to be exact)

Almost forgot.... Any advice some of you "veteran" married guys have for me would be *gladly* accepted!!!

Best Wishes and God Bless,
Phil Rickard, President

Congratulations Phil, I wish you a long happy marriage. I will give you two magical words that will keep your marriage a success and you need to learn them early. Practice saying them now, "Yes, Dear" and you will be fine!

I second what Doug said (except we've been married 11 years). If you realize that there are days when things won't go as smoothly as you'd like them too, and on those days, Please remember to think before saying something that can boomerang back to you (and they will boomerang back to you, because women have elephant memory genetics bred into them, in that they NEVER forget ).

A friend of mine, whose been married for forty+ years told me this......................."Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?" Truer words were never spoken!

Congratulations and Best of luck to you and your bride!

OK, let's start a list...

...Of course I was listening.

...No, that doesn't make you look fat.

...Sure, I'd love to have your family over for dinner.

...No, I don't want to work on my Vette, I want to go shopping with you. This will be tough for Phil, since that's what he does for a LIVING!!

...keep 'em coming guys...

Thanks for all the advice folks! Sounds like you've "been there, done that" before and it's good getting advice from "older, wiser grasshoppers"!

I especially like the "do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy" and the "elephant's memory bred into their genes" statement...

I will be out of town on business the next few weeks, but think I
can arrange something afterwards. Congrats again to both of you.

Well folks, I'm outta here for two weeks for our vacation/honeymoon starting now after I leave the office here in a minute or two.. We just got done with the rehersal dinner, so that's one hurdle out of the way! It's been a LONGGGGG time since I've taken a vaca (11 years) and Jenny and I are really looking forward to it.

We'll be out of the office from 11-12-05 to 11-28-05, until we return on that Monday morning of the 28th. Our super sales guy Dennis will still be here to answer phones, take orders, answer questions, etc. while we're away. We won't be *completely* away however, as we'll still have our portable laptop w/ wireless internet and of course cell phones in case we need to be reached.

It's kinda hard leaving the biz for that amount of time and this is the very first time we've ever done it... Sort of feels like the nervousness of leaving the kids at the babysitters for the first time I guess... The shop means *everything* to Jenny and I, so to be quite honest, we're going to miss being here... Thankfully, we have a great team of very talented guys here to keep the place going along while we're away for a bit!

Oh well, party-on Garth! We'll be seeing you folks in about two weeks or so!

Best Wishes,
Phil & Jenny
DTE
