Default Looking for drag radials to fit a 19x13 wheel

Does anyone know of a decent drag radial the will fit a 19x13 inch wheel? I am getting my car back from MTI this week with a D1SC, 408, stage 3 heads, etc. Car made 525.8RWHP on a stock motor with A&A P1. Right now the car is mini tubbed with Pirelli 355/25/19s and 19x13s in the rear. I didn't hook well before, so I am sure it will be like driving on ice now.

They dont make drag radials in 19s. Main reason I sold my CCWs and went to some Iforged wheels.

Not going to happen.

19" are great for 'bling', but if you want traction.........
There just isn't enough sidewall height which is important for linear traction.
Keep the 19's for the street.
Get 18's, or better yet, 17's for D/R's.

I agree. The problem is that I just installed a Wilwood 14" front and rear kit, so I am limited to an 18" in the rear. I think CCW makes an 18x11 505a. What tire would you recommmend putting on it?

I spoke with John last week. There will be an 18X13 wheel coming, just no eta yet. I will be ordering a set for both my cars. I am in the same boat, I have the big foot package also, but no good sticky tire options. Anybody want some bling, I'll be selling my current 505a's 19X10fr, 19X13r.

It looks like Nitto has a 555R in a 335-30-18. Has anyone seen these?

.. "NT555R EXTREME DRAG 335-30-18"
No, but, that is _very_ good news. My Nitto 285 DR's hook well, I can't imagine how the 335's would fair.

That is good news. I think I will wait for the 18x13 and go with the 335-30-18 Nittos.

345/30/18 BFG Drag radials for the track. Will fit on 18x12.
335/30/18 Toyo Proxes RA-1 for street/road course.

If you have enough money invested in your car to be over 500 rwhp or 500 rwt, then you should have enough money for two sets of tires and wheels. I have a set for the street and a set for the track. I don't wear the same shoes to the gym that I wear to work. Neither does my car.

So I guess waiting for a sticky tire in the 19" size will never happen????

I have a question...since I have HRE 541's can I get a 18" that will fit my rear wheels and clear my 14" Baer Extreme 4 piston rear brakes ????

And would that work with my 19" front wheels?????? I mean 18" front been so long I forgot

I agree, but I really don't take mine to the track. I take it out for a few hours every now and then. I haven't put 3K miles on it in over a year. I was just looking for a good street tire with some grip that would fit on my existing wheels. I think I am just going to wait for CCW to release their 18x13 and go that route. Changing the rears every other time I drive the car shouldn't be that PITA.

if u are gonna do a drag radial anyway, its not that important to wait for the wider wheels unless u want it to look mean

a 305/35 or 295/35 should stick just as well as a 335/30

The extra inch or so that the 335's offer, will likely not show any measurable difference in linear traction.

Went with a 18in rear wheel so that I could run Mich pilots 335/30/18. The wheels are 18x12 and work great.

This past Sat I installed BFG G-Force drag radials 345/30/18 on the wheels and it made a HUGE difference.

The 305 Nitto actually has more tread width than the 335's. The 335 has more section width and weighs two pounds more.

I wonder how the 45 series would work as it might look good filling out the wheelwell and has more sidewall?

Did you get your car back? Are you satisfied?

Just got home with it. I will let you know in about week or so. I have to put 750-1000 miles on it before the final tune. It only has about 75 miles on it with the new motor. How is your's doing? Did you go by while mine was there?
