Well after finally my belt slippage issue resolved and my car dialed in, it was time for a drive to the track 60 miles away.I rolled in about an hour before the gates opened to let her cool off. I was the first one through tech and the first car to go down the track.
You'll never guess what teched in right behind me and then lined up in the left lane right next to me......a Mercedes CL 600....yes, the V-12 twin supercharged car. Beautiful car, but the guy was a complete A-hole- just arrogant, rude and he even managed to call me "kid" (I'm 31) on one occassion . His first three words to me were "What's she run?".......I said, "mid to high 12's.....I've never had it to the track before and it only makes about 400hp, so I'd have to guess mid 12's if I'm lucky." Then he arrogantly proceeded to tell my buddy Daniel (BigBollas here on the forum) that his car made 500+HP, yada, yada, yada.
Well, we lined em up....we we're the first two down the track, and I'm here to tell ya, it was a sticky mofo. Here's the time slip- my first pass ever with my new rear carrier (3.42) and my additional boost. I made no changes to to "prep" the car.....I drove an hour there, and then down the track we went.
Hope I don't have to tell you who won? He was about 10-15 cars behind me....maybe more, it was hard to tell
That was the only pass they allowed me to make. They weren't too happy....anything that runs < 11.50 you have to have a roll cage, fire jacket, 5 point harness, etc.... Based on my lousy short time and my high MPH, I feel confident that with a few more runs I would have pulled a high 10 sec pass.
After the race the guy approached me and asked me why I hit the brakes 4 times before hitting the finish line?.....I didn't have the heart to say anything, but my brother and Daniel weren't shy...."Those weren't his brakes, those were his hazzards."
I've tried to edit my sig with no luck, so for those of you that are curious about my set-up:

TPIS headers, X-pipe, no cats
I ran on a set of 295 BFG Drag Radials which are on my car 24/7.
Otherwise, a stock LS1
Not sure Doug, It's a close call. I love Mercedes cars, but what an idiot.
BTW, Bollas filmed the whole pass....we'll have the vid up shortly.

nice time!!! Go to a different track and get your 10's and be sure to film it so we can watch the track people kick you off because your care is tooooooo FAST i wish i could say that
Awesome run I wittnessed and video'ed J's dyno run today at MTI. You will see why he ran a easy 11.19. Will post the video tomorrow as I'm about to hit the couch and get my fill of NASCAR and then NHRA.
