Default What is someone willing to pay for a 98' Coupe?

What is the car worth? 1998 coupe, auto, red exterior, black interior, sport seats, glass top, 53k miles, bose cd, chrome y2k's with new nitto tires, flowmaster catback, otherwise stock. Seats have typical wear for the miles, and rock chips along the bottom rockers. What would be a quick selling price? I have checked ebay, kbb, nada, edmunds, etc.... obviously want the most out of it as possible, but nada seems pretty unrealistic with their pricing.... I have access to manheim, and I see what they are selling there for, but where is the individual market at for this car?

Default quick sale

a really quick sale would be 18k.

could be worth 20k in the spring or a longer time frame to sell it.

Aren't you asking $26K for your 98 ? Or is that extra $6K for the paint color ?

Default nassau

he asked for a quick sale price so i gave him one in my opinion.

mine. yes, but mine has only 20k miles and fully loaded and is a garage queen. and yes i have it overpriced knowing it would sell much quicker if i dropped the price but subconsciously i never wanted to sell it unless i got top dollar for it. and yes they dont make nassau blue anymore and only made several hundred when they did.

i dont want to hijack this thread in anyway. sorry.

QUOTE]Nassau blue isn't as rare as you think. Over 1000 were built in both 1998 and 1999

Default nassau

i know. there were 707 coupes in 1998 which was 4% total production of 31,084 vehicles. in 1999, they made 587 coupes are 3% total production of 33,270 and in 2000 they made 453 or 3% total production of 33,682 vehicles. the least amount made of nassau blue was 1997 when they made only 292.

as for a quick sale, if i lowered mine to 22k, im sure it would be gone in2 weeks.

but enough of the nassau blue history, the point is that he asked me for an opinion and i gave it to him. regardless what i might be asking for mine, thats another post.

What I have learned over the years, is there is an *** for every seat. My friend proved that to me when he sold his 4th gen f-body for $6k over the retail value.... It took him 9 months to do it, but he did it. I am just looking to sell the car quick, as I have another car already purchased that will be taking its place.

Default opinion

but did i not give you an opinion for the question you asked. thats why this post was started. the post has nothing to do with my car or my price cause i know i wont get that here on the forum, my price was intended for national exposure via thevettenet and to see if i would get any responses.

I am wanting to sell my car.... not purchase one. Your car sounds nice, and I am really surprised it has not sold yet...

Me to, for all the money put into it. Its frustrating to have all these hits that turn into nothing, also ready to break it down, hate to do that after all the time it took to tune it perfectly.

Yeah, I understand what you are saying, but trust me stripping it and selling the parts separately you will get more for the car.

Carmax + ~$1k = quick sale price. Or you can eliminate the hassle and sell direct to Carmax in Kansas City. But I'm not sure if they'd buy an over-50k mile Vette.

Good luck with the sale.
