1999 Hardtop Vette with Tribal Ghost Flames + almost 600hp
1999 Hardtop Corvette – Black with ghosted flames.
If you looking for a vette that looks great and runs great this is the one. Its custom paint has gotten more awards than I can count. Including, Best paint at the Dallas Autorama last year and at dozens of other car shows. The ghosted flamed paint goes from purple/blue/black. One angle its black the other angle its purple or if the lighting is low the flames appear blue. There are at least 15 ghosted skulls on the car. The emblems are painted on so well most people donÂ’t even realize they are painted. Half the people that walk by this car think itÂ’s a black hardtop. The other half stop in their tracks and look more closely. Its been picked Peoples Choice 2 different times at the Forum Cruise-Ins. Its been a featured car in Corvette Fever in August 2001. http://www.corvettefever.com/featuredvehicles/40199/
Its not just all show, it can go. Crank the motor over and its got a great lope to the idle, drives great. I go to the drag races a couple times a year. Best has been 11.6 @ 125mph on street tires.
Tons of pictures at http://www.mikehefner.com and you can see its history.
The car just recently had the front and rear bumpers, mirrors and passenger side rocker panels all repainted.
Engine mods: Custom Flow Master Exhaust w/ chrome tips, Custom dry NOS system, ARE racing heads and cam package, custom computer program, TPIS Long tube headers, vararam intake, ported throttle body, LS6 intake, Cartek Clutch, 30lb injectors, off road pipes, (have pipes with cats also) 405rwhp/380rwtq, 490rwhp/496rwtq on juice.
Suspension/Brake mods: T1 bars, T1 Bushings, PowerSlot Rotors, Bilstein Sport shocks, ceramic brake pads.
Appearance mods: Ghosted Tribal flames that go down hood and doors. Hidden skulls in paint, painted emblems, Lowered 1”, Shift light, front and rear blackouts, Flameball shifter handle, purple brake calipers, purple powder coated T1 bars, Z06 front screens, 5pt harness, Oakley Seat covers with purple inserts, GM floor mats w/ C5 logo, bezels around instrument cluster, Sound Partition, HUD added, flamed fire extinguisher, NOS bottle custom painted, Chrome Z06 Rims.
Major repairs: New transmission, New rear end housing, New Torque tube, Clutch replaced, New rear hub assemblies. All this was done during the past year at different times. So the drive train is like new.
I'm sure that I've forgotten a mod or two...
This car is extremely well taken care of all the time. It has 67k miles on it and is only driving on road trips and weekends.
This car MUST be seen in person to be appreciated. The paint job is guaranteed to blow you away. 36.5k obo.
Why am I selling? Time to move on and I want a C6.
Be sure to check my website for tons of pictures.
You can send me email or call my cell 972.345.8741 anytime.

I've valet parked this car a couple of times, it is absoultely gorgeous. I was wondering how much it cost to paint the flames on there? I am thinking about doing that to the whole car.
Anyways, good luck with the sell.

Wow Mike, wow. Well I also have to attest to the extreme beauty of this car. This car has made me jealous from the time Mike got the first paint job.
Mike man, I hope you're ok with parting with her. Good luck.

The car is Sweet!!!!!
Someone from out of town buy this car . . . I don't want to have to compete against it when my C5 is ready for the shows.

thanks for the compliments everyone...
And Chris, no I'm not ok with selling it. I feel like I'm kicking my best friend out my house... I hope if someone buys it that they live far away because I'm not sure if I can stand the site of someone else driving it

Folks... I knew this gentlemen when I used to live in Dallas. Before the vette, he owned a white F-bird. He didn't know much about cars when he bought it, but it soon tuned out to be one of the nicest, fastest rides in the metroplex. Mr. Hefner does all his own mods with total precision and dedication that would make any top mechanic proud.
If I didn't just purchase an 04 Z, I would seriously consider purchasing this unique machine.
Good luck with the sale Michael... How's Jeff and Markus doing?
Does Jeff still have the Viper....?
Someone will soon realize what you have here and jump on it..
Say hello to all in the big "D".
