1998 Coupe F/S - slightly modded - (baby on the way)
Yep, I've decided it's time I sell one of my vettes for financial reasons.
(yeah ~ 1st child is on the way - due early November)
Of course I want my cake & eat it too......but that's life.
The '68 is staying since I can always get another C5 or C6 later on. :rolleyes:
Cell phone for more questions or offers -----> (817) 891-3137 (Paul)
I'll cut to the chase (this hurts) :cry
1998 Corvette Coupe (outdated pic - but the glass top is already sold so it only comes with the painted one)
* 65k miles
* A4 - automatic transmission
* Sebring Silver with gray interior (can't remember the official color)
* Dual climate control
* Sport seats with memory settings
* Single in-dash CD player
* Fog lamps
* Blackouts - front & back lights (see sig.)
* Borla Stinger 2-tip exhaust
* Blackwing Donaldson air system
* C5 power plate (controversial)
Dynoed @ 314rwhp with 323 torq.
Fuel rail covers & air bridge painted 'grabber' green with chrome lettering but can easily be replaced. Let me know and I'll re-paint the calipers (your color choice) and switch out any "green" stuff.......(with a deposit of $500 to show serious buying intent)
*Negotiable forum price (lowered) ------> $21,500
More pics to come.......this one was taken last year before mods.
See sig. below for rear exterior mods...... ;)

Re: 1998 Coupe F/S - slightly modded - (burrpenick)
Sorry, no trades.... :nono:
And before CF members start :rolleyes: and :U -ing ...... I'll replace the fuel rail covers & air bridge with stock to sell the car. :thumbs:
IF you look close, the calipers are green - but can be repainted easily.
The car is very clean & free of damage outside a small curb scrape in front of the rear wheel underneath (about 5" long scratch).
IN the front you'll notice the blackouts for the turn signals. :cool:
These are the carbon-fiber pattern type that supposedly was discontinued. :confused:
* I'm the second owner on this car and bought it in 1999 from Frank Parra Chevrolet off their showroom with 14k miles on it.
* I have the service manuals & orignal VHS instruction tape for it......paperwork, documentation, etc.
* The front seats are just beginning to show wear with some very slight cracking (with more wear to the driver side).
* These pics are a year old (I'm working on new ones just too much to do) - so in case it wasn't mentioned.....the glass top DOES NOT go with the car.....only the solid one.
* Radio is stock - interior is stock (no mods - I ran out of money) :bb
* Transmission & torq converter is stock but pulls strong - no problems
* As for you diehard CARFAX guys - here's the real scoop :
- Pass. fender was replaced due to a 1-inch crack after a near miss (older woman turned in front of me across traffic) :cuss
- Pass. fender, front fascia, coolant tank, inner fender well, and front emblem was replaced after my wife was run off the road (a small truck switched lanes over the front end) :mad :cuss :mad .....
* No frame damage was done .......the good part is that Friendly Chevrolet of Dallas even replaced the air dam so it's like a 2001 underneath the front end ~ clean, clean, clean. ;)
* Paint is very good condition ~ blends were nice & even. :thumbs:
* One small paint nick (through the clear coat) about 1/2 inch on the back top fascia behind the hatch (yeah, dummy me was careless while loading / unloading). :rolleyes:
* It's only been to the shop once for the common battery leakage problem and the wiring harness to the cruise control was replaced.
* Future maintenance needed will be tranny fluid & serpentine belt replacement......and anything else for an original 65k+ car. :yesnod:
* Tires are about 25-30% tread and they're factory Goodyear Run-Flat eagles off another C5. (1999 White C5-R to be exact)

Re: 1998 Coupe F/S - slightly modded - (Hole-Shot)
It should run very low 13's in the 1/4 mile (maybe 12.9 on a good day).
I've never tested it at the track........but here's the dyno sheet :

I'd go 21k shipped. Let me know.
I know this sounds like a "cop-out" but I'll hafta ask the wife first. I'm assuming that you're expecting me to include shipping ? :confused:

Please do ask the wife..
By shipping I mean you know whow these dealers ship vehicles?
it cost them like $300 - $1000 depending on distance. I don't really know how it works, but I hoped you did...
Let me try and find out how shipping works.

Find anything out on shipping ?
Also, there's an extended warranty on this car to 100k miles or 6yrs. (2 left).
I'll need to check if it's transferrable.

I'd also like to note, that that is Door to door.
It includes, taxes, gas, tolls, other surcharges, and 55k bumper to bumper warrant for the trip.

Re: 1998 Coupe F/S - slightly modded - (Zonify)
guys/gals, as a fellow local club member of pauls, ive seen his car and its exactly as described. sounds great with those stingers as well. hate to see him sell it, as we are teh only two sebring silver coupes with stock silver wagon wheels in teh club, but heck, if u are having a kid, ur having a kid. guess teh mercedes SUV wasnt enough family cars so he needs another one. haha. anyway, jsut for info, his car is clean. if i didnt have one almost identical to it, id consider it for myself. good luck paul.
p.s. and screw u for selling that glass top- i wanted u to sell me the silver top so i could have both. hahahahahahahaha jsut joking. :p:
and also, golly gee wiz. there's pauls car in front of mine in my sig photo. paul, have u seen this pic yet???? :)

Ok, last chance before I sell it to the "masses" on AutoTrader or eBay....
$20,999 is my ultimate 'fair price' for the Corvette Forum :thumbs:
Just e-mail or IM me for more pics or info. I'll be happy to work with any serious inquires to find my baby a new home. :cheers:
