C5R Block 427 Z06 for Sale!
My excellent condition 427 Z06 is available for sale!! I moved in to a new house and need the space, etc. I have over $100,000 in the car, including new HRE 547s and Front and Rear Brembos. The price is $57,000 with the Brembos or $52,000 with the stock brakes, and many extras also come with the car.
This car runs like OEM, except for power and handling—just awesome!
This car is the real deal. It is: a Blk/Blk 2001 Z06; has about 26,000 miles on it or so; the 427 went in at roughly 15,000 miles; it has been to a couple of Driver’s Ed classes (Driving Concept’s course and TCRA) but has never been to a drag strip; the power is SAE 475rwhp and 495 rwtrq on a dynojet chassis dyno through a 3” custom exhaust, Corsa Touring Mufflers with Pro Tips and high flow 3” CATS (power is even higher without the CATS (I have bolt-in pipes that run from the header flanges to the mufflers) and with the Underdrive Pulley (not as reliable as stock so taken off); MMS built the engine and it has been dialed-in with tons of custom dyno tuning to get everything just right; the cam is the MMS 224 cam (very mild for this car); the C5R Block came from Katech (they build the C5R engines for GM); the Clutch is the newest model, top of the line Star Carbon (stronger springs and pressure plate) and new Z06 hydraulics; lightweight aluminum flywheel; intake is Donaldson Blackwing with Halltech Carbon Fiber Air Bridge and ported Throttle body; 2002 Z06 MAF; DRM Heavy Duty Radiator and Engine Oil Cooler ($1200 + install); New Double-Roller Timing Chain ($900 parts and labor); GM Performance Tranny Cooler ($900 + $450 to install by Corvette Mike); Hypertech 160 Degree Thermostat; Heavy Dynamat in Tranny Tunnel and from the bottom of the seats back in the interior, plus extra heavy duty heat and sound insulation in the back, plus tranny tunnel cool pack; professionally shortened stock shifter; new $8,000 Brembo front and rear brakes and brake system (retains the E-Brake); new HRE 547 Polished 18” rims (10” in front and 11” in back); Brey Kraus Harness Bar and Sparco 6-point and BK Quick-Release mounting hardware (allows removal of belts when not needed) ($800+), with the install by Corvette Mike; Nakamichi in-dash 6 CD Head unit, MB Quart Premium Speakers, Fosgate Punch Sub, Kenwood top of the line 5-Channel Amp and cooling fan ($3,500); OEM Fog Lights behind the Z06 Screens; Valentine One hardwired (unit and work--$500); Hotchkiss front and rear sway bars with the latest end links ($750); “4 2 7” and “Crossed Flag” badge on the side of the fenders below the Z06 Badges; and probably more that I cannot remember!
This car is awesome and will go immediately to the right buyer. I now have a BMW X5 as a daily driver, so mileage will stay pretty low.
Contact me at HPlainsDrftr@aol.com if you are interested (serious inquiries only, no trades, and no "parting" of the car).
The car is located in Huntington Beach, California
