It has been for sell before if I remember correctly or maybe he just had a thread about the car.

Do you have any information on the 427 engine components, and any supporting mods that were done for it like cooling, transmission, rear diff?

Was the common problem with the LS7 heads fixed on it as well?

All I can tell you is look up the C5R engine. It was the test mule in LeMans endurance racing for the future 427 engines you guys know in the C6 called the LS7. This car does not have an LS7. This car has no mods that we’re not part of the original package. The lady that owned it before (Original owner) me passed away at 70 in 2015. She was an artist and I can assure you had no interest in the performance but was most likely in love with the color combination. It truly is amazing in person. It still has the original tires on it as well so that alone should verify her interest as she put 24000 of the 26000 miles that are on the car.

It's not an LS7.

Wow I am pretty sure I saw this car in person or one just like it at Guldstrand when I used to live in California many years ago... also met the late Guldstrand. He loved to sign everything. He signed my Guldstrand book twice by accident, along with a bunch of other stuff I had with me at the time... nice piece of corvette history

push comes to shove the engine block is stamped on the back side under the flywheel with the part number if it is indeed a C5R block. That being said, no one seems to care that its a 9-10k block.

Wow what a beautiful and rare c5! I can’t believe it hasn’t sold yet and it seems to me as rare as it is it should have sold very quickly, if I had garage space it would buy it immediately!

Research tells me this is not a C5R block. Stock 2003 Z06 sent to Katech where they bored and stroked to 4.1 X 4.0. Rated at 500HP by Katech.
Maybe the seller could clarify.

the article doesn’t say it is not. They only note the bore and stroke. However I will contact Katech tomorrow and verify the archives if they will. The picture I posted I believe was the original owner talking about it being the C5R per their research.
