no phone number on the craigs list ad. I have never had a good result from emailing on a craigs list ad

Make sure that the pop ups are not enabled. works for me. I did have pop ups enable. Disabled and reset the craigslist ad and hit reply. Email shows up.

you are correct. the phone does not show up anymore. It did previously. Only email now.
