2000 FRC - Torch Red - STU Autocross - $11,500 OBO
Trying this again. I get a bunch of interest, then it fizzles. You have probably already seen it on Facebook if you follow some of the C5/LSX/Track/Autocross pages.
Good condition 2000 Torch Red FRC. 6 speed. Clean title history and only 51,000 miles. I bought this car to turn into a track car, but decided autox was more economical, so it’s setup for the STU class. It’s a blast to drive, runs flawlessly, and gets over 30mpg on the highway.
The bad:
- Front bumper was repainted by a previous owner, and is a shade off. It looks to me like it was painted GM Victory Red like my Silverado instead of Torch Red.
Common C5 issues:
- Oil pressure sending unit not working. I have a new one in the box
- ABS/EBCM fault code. It’s unplugged and I like it that way (no ABS or TC)
- Factory driver seat track slop. I have the kit that fixes it.
- AC is just OK. I have recharged it with AC Pro each summer and it has been OK for me.
- Glove box removed.
Good stuff:
- Steering lock and turn signal bypass installed. No issues.
- HUD works
- Z51 suspension package
- New front hubs/bearings/ABS sensors
- Eibach front sway bar
- Ridetech HQ single adjustable shocks
- Sparco Ciruit II seat on Planted mount and Sparco slider
- Custom aluminum harness bar
- RaceQuip 4/5 point harnesses for driver and passenger
- 18x10.5 C5Z wheels with nearly new 285/35/18 Hankook RS-4’s all around. Yes, they are lime green, because….long story. I had them sandblasted, primed, and painted with simple Rustoleum.
- Stock, chrome 5 spoke “S2k” wheels with good condition Bridgestone RE-71R’s included
- Eibach lowering bolts
- Hawk HP+ brake pads
- C5Z titanium axle back exhaust
